Paiste, Zildjian, Sabian???

Hi, I am confused, I dont know wich is better.

Please tell me what is the difference you find between those brands, and which is better???

I have some zildjian and sabian, but I dont really know what makes the diference, I just know there are a lot of sub-series of each one, like the avedish from zildjian.

Paiste=korn d silveria
zildjian=limp biskit j otto
sabian= ???? (sorry but I dont remember who uses sabian)

What makes a hand hammered better?????

I've got "14 hi-hats.

My favorite brand of cymbals is "Istanbul", unfortunately for me, they are expensive and hard to find, so I have only one cymbal of this brand (the ride)

SABIAN ARE BEST

Sabian are good.
they do great pack things in all their series which include hats, 1 crash and 1 ride in one box.
if your on a relatively small buget (altho not that small) get the pro sonix series. if u wanna go lower (altho i dont recomend it ) bet the B8 pro series.
if ur rich get HH, or HHX.
ive got pro sonix, and a tama rockstar custom kit, they sound pretty **** good.
16" crash, 18" crash, 14" hats, 20" ride (i think, its either 20 or 21" i can never remember )
hope that helped
and anyway, i dont like the look of zildjian.
oh yeh, hand hammered (HH) are better because they sound alot nicer, and are made (yes you guessed it...) by hand! so the're all unique. the're also pretty **** expensive.
i think the 13" inch hats would have a higher pitch to them than the 14" ones.
and sabian are canadian. whether that is good or not is a matter for u to decide.
i reckon its good because....
they have canadians in canada.
well the cymbols are **** good anyway

I use the following setup, and i love it.

All are Zildjian ZBT Plus:

14" Hats
16" crash
18" Rock crash
10"Splash
18" China.

all perform really well, and give a nice bright sound with quick decay. The china is a bit darker, which is to be expected really seen as it is a low pitch model.

We have the Sabian B8 Pro Series. The hi hat & crash sound fine, but the the ride sounds like the lid to my stainless steel stew pot!

Thumbs up

I prefer playing Zildjian cymbals... out of all...
i picked Paiste over Sabian tho...

umm Chad SMith uses Sabian.....
Dave weckle uses Sabian......Mike portnoy......Terry bozzio..... umm that Pantera drumma... umm Vinnie Paul..???

Paiste is an excellent cymbals... great projection... great presence.. but not as smooth as Zildjians...

so i like Zildjian the best out of those 3 brands...

UFIP's are more expensive than Zildjian.... and it's hard to get ova here in Australia...... so yeh

i use sabian. I use AA's and they sound great. Specially my Crash/Ride and Chinese. I have a B8 ride, and its POOP!!! No versitality in it. One sound and thats IT!! Dont go for B8's if u choose sabian. Sabian is very pleasin to the budget also.

However, about 8 mths ago I looked into buying paiste. This was because for about 5 years Ive LOVED the sound of Dave SIlveria's cymbals, specially his hats. They sound so nice!! The problem in Canada is, Paiste doesnt stock much over here.

i think zildjian r the best. i have a 16" crash, 18 crash, 14' hi hats, 20" ride, 4" splash, 6" splash, and a 19" china.

I have a tama star classic performer custom the set is ****ing amazing i love it and the cymbals r all avedis (A series) and they fit right together!

OK.. here it is... if u want a crash or hi hat or ride.. u cant get better than zildjian!
get 14"" hi hat and a 18" a custom hard rock crash
and perhaps a 21" dark ride... and u have the best cybals around
if u need a china go with paiste, it sounds great!
and splashed trashes and the rest from paiste are great..
but.. if your on a tight budget
SABIAN all the way.. theyre "pack" prices are unbeatable..
but zildjian is considered "the agressive rockers" cymbals
