The Cavs didn't have any cap space to get anyone, so what was he going to do? Spend another 7 years in Cleveland rotting, only getting to the ECF's and struggling? If I were Lebron, I would say fuck that shit as well. You're also forgetting that regardless of what happened before Game 5 of the finals, the Heat still raised up the trophy, so that argument is erroneous. OKC wasn't on their game? KD struggled defending Lebron because he can't, and they couldn't find scoring outside of KD and Westbrook. Wanna know why? Because they went up against one of the top 3, if not the best, defensive team in the league. They also didn't have a clue as to how to defend the Heat on the offensive end. They would try and double team Lebron and they'd leave the arc WIDE OPEN.

If you look at the stats(which you probably won't), you'll see that the Bulls had a much deeper bench than the Heat. It's not just about starters or superstars, it's about the whole team. and once again, how can you say Lebron needs Wade and Bosh more than they need him? Without the efforts of Lebron this year in the playoffs, the Heat would have NEVER gotten past the Celtics. This coming from a guy who absolutely HATES LBJ as a person.

But my argument remains valid, and as I did check the stats, the 90-91 bulls, one of the greatest teams in NBA history, had a statistically weaker bench than the 11-12 heat. I'm not posting the whole story, but it's clear putting the two rosters side by side which bench was more productive. Heat, ESPECIALLY in the playoffs. Clearly, James had more help than Jordan, at least during the first three-peat.

The man straight up PRODUCED and won himself a championship this year with great contributions from those around him. Very impressive performance individually, and as a team. We have to give him/them credit for that. By no means should we be comparing him to MJ though. Give it a few years at least. Allen is an interesting addition. He doesn't seem to fit the "swagger" the team had last year. Maybe he'll be a good veteran presence, and quietly put up big numbers, but idk to be honest.
