07.07.12 | Wow 45 is a big deal of albums. I havent heard most of them and I need to pick up some of them asap; 4, 11, 12, 16, 33, 35, 37 and 38.
I absolutely like 24, 42 and 43. |

07.07.12 | Yeah, I've been trying to keep up with new albums this year. Obviously some of them received more attention than others though. |

07.07.12 | I should slap you for 41 but the decent amount of metal on this list will suffice I guess |

07.07.12 | Ugh sorry but the only redeeming factors here are that The Tallest Man is so high and that you included High On Fire |

07.07.12 | Thanks guys. The Squackett album could have been proggier, but t'is good stuff to be sure. I checked out a few tracks from that album Notrap, but it didn't really strike me as anything too special. |

07.08.12 | "The Squackett album could have been proggier"
Yeah it could but I actually quite like their more refined approach to it. They could have just made a Genesis meets Yes kinda album like a lot of people were expecting, but they've actually tried something a bit different, concentrating more on well refined and simpler songwriting that is, for the most part, very effective IMO. |

07.08.12 | @Da11thMytrillSphere: The Eluveitie and Candlemass albums have no real standout tracks for me, they're typically consistent. For Springsteen I'd rec Wrecking Ball and Land of Hope and Dreams; Pole Shift in particular for MMXII.
@Jamie: Yeah, I can agree with that. I wasn't expecting it to be just a 'Genesis meets Yes' thing, and trying to bring the 70's back wouldn't work really.

07.10.12 | 2012 is an interesting year for us in the sense that, for once, you've heard more new albums than I have haha. Good list man and some of these are on my to-check list. Alas, I think the last time I looked into a new album was in mid-June lol, so taking that into consideration, I have no idea when I am getting to some of these. So far it has been a relatively active summer for me and I just lack the time (and, currently, the passion as well) to check out new music. |
