Sidenote: you heard new Oh No? I think it's a b-sides/alt takes/remixes thing |

08.03.12 | great list soby. 2012 has been pretty underwhelming to me in the hip hop department, but I still gotta check a bunch of these out |

08.03.12 | love the first 5. haven't heard it dev, will look for it... did not include instrumental hip-hop for some arbitrary reason i haven't decided on yet |

08.03.12 | killer mikes everywhere..... |

08.03.12 | ahh nice list! i wast really feeling sobys reviewed albums, but i gotta hi five u for nas schoolboy AND SPACEGHOST! RESPECTTTTTT |
Calc
08.03.12 | weird how i name five of the top six of these albums in one thread and pawpnbawtlez calls them the worst rap albums of the year but when soby ranks them as high all of a sudden its a nice list.... |

08.03.12 | How are your comprehension skills? |

08.03.12 | err calc i actually said "i wast really feeling sobys reviewed albums" meaning i didnt like all the 5
albums u named in the other thread. Soby started an unnecessary hype train surrounding those 5 albums
and i still stand by what i think of them... simply shit and boring
this list is nice if u exclude el-p, KM, DTS and aesop rock (the albums u said were the best of the
year)lolololol |
Calc
08.03.12 | funny cuz thats exactly what your doing lol, and if i didn't say anything you'd kept on doin it. and seeing as i've read zero of his reviews im not sure where ur assumptions are coming from. |

08.03.12 | never heard of 4, I might have to check that out. try sadistik and kristoff krane - prey for paralysis. pretty neat album that came out this year. |
Calc
08.03.12 | but i dont care, i just wanted to point that funny observation out. Anything else you wanna argue i concede and you win. |

08.03.12 | I dunno if u follow any of the album threads that u seem to think are albums of the year, but i am constantly disagreeing with sobys opinions. I mean not to be a dick or anything, but most things soby likes, i dislike. my assumptions are coming from "here's 5 who are better Skelethon, R.A.P Music, Cancer 4 Cure, ANX, Ohnomite" |

08.03.12 | what would those be? I'll take recs from you, then im coming for that supple ass |

08.03.12 | can somebody explain to me what cloud rap is/why people like it? 1-4 are pretty good, i also like joey
bada$$ and i know it's not an album but that new ill mind of hopsin 5 was really good imo. |

08.03.12 | Cloud Rap is just the new trend in hip hop auber. Very floaty laid back beats and what not I guess. Most of it isnt very good and everyone is pretty much cloning eachother now. Its the djent of hip hop.
Some on this list are good, but none have the potential to be a classic or anything. El-P and Aesops new ones are nice but their old stuff is still better. Killer Mike's is a little too southern for my taste. I liked 4 and 9 tho.
I know The Money Store is very polarizing but I liked it. Can care less if I dont understand what the dude is sayin. Its a mix of hip hop, hardcore, and some noise with a shit ton of energy. A welcome experimental album in a genre that doesnt do enough experimenting to me. Its a love it or hate it thing though because its definitely not conventional in any way, but thats why I like it. |

08.03.12 | forgot to add joey badass and open mike eagle to the end. whoops. @tomarnold - that record was last year i think. krane has a new one this year, but i'm not enamored with it. @pawp crazy how you could "hate" those records, but to each his own. |
