01.12.13 | My dad listens to tons of different music, but mainly rock and metal. Jimi Hendrix is his favourite artist and Tool are his favourite band. He mostly enjoys prog stuff, Rush was favourite band for so long, but he also loves great guitar work, like Joe Satriani, Eric Clapton, Steve Vai, etc. He listens to quite a bit of blues as well.
He has a few albums by some bands, for example, Alice in Chains, Porcupine Tree, Megadeth, Dream Theater and A Perfect Circle, but usually he'll just buy a single album by a band and that's it. He has just one album of so many random bands that no one's ever heard of. |

01.12.13 | My parents listened to Steven Curtis Chapman and the like. I happen to love Neurosis and Tool as well as my parents. We are different people, but I'll love and respect them until the day I die. Yea, I know, dramatic, but hey, true. |

01.12.13 | My parents loved Floyd and Peter Gabriel. Maybe not my favorites, but definitely influenced me. My uncle listened to Porcupine Tree, which actually got me started on my interest in music. It's interesting to look back and see how music you listened to when you were younger affects your current taste. |
witchxrapist
01.12.13 | My dad listens to like, Roy Orbison, Simon And Garfunkle, Crosby Stills And Nash, and CCR, and all I know is that my mom is all about The Rolling Stones, but she enjoys most good music, like, I've cleaned the house listening to Funeral Diner with her and she loved it. |

01.12.13 | A lot of 80s new wave stuff. Everything from Depeche Mode to Ultravox, Modern Talking, Alphaville, Yazoo, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys etc. My dad also listened to prog like Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Jethro Tull, Yes, Pink Floyd, etc. Most of his prog and Depeche Mode are some of of my favorites today. Still, my mom ended up liking a lot of stuff I like, such as Green Day, Bad Religion, Wilco, Moby, Porcupine Tree, Zac Brown Band, Coldplay, John Frusciante or Red Hot Chili Peppers. |

My mom was into Led Zeppelin, Depeche Mode, Kate Bush, Frank Zappa and Metallica among others. Can't remember much of what my dad listened to except Guns N' Roses and the current chart music of that time. |

None of them had any influence on my taste whatsoever, I'm against the grain. |
