DamnVanne 01.17.13	You can make fun of me if you want; it doesn't carry the same weight if I can't hear you. This movie is pretty good already. The part about listening to music while you speak so you can't hear yourself does work pretty well, and Colin Firth is a superb actor.

Mookid 01.17.13	Dude, I have myself also have a speech impediment, don't feel bad Mine are those blocks (not the w-was) or w/e they call it. Sometimes air just gets stuck and I can't get the word out. It's toned down though compared to what it was when I was like 13. I'm 17 now though The movie was pretty good, but idk it just didn't really suit my needs. If by chance, you should watch True Life: I Stutter. Believe it or not it's actually quite inspiring

DamnVanne 01.18.13	I thought it was pretty good movie. Great acting and set designs, and the story carried a lot of weight for such a seemingly trivial subject matter. Crimson: I have a stutter practically identical to Bertie's from the movie, except I don't rage anymore when I can't get something to come out. The severity goes up and down from month to month, right now it's pretty bad and fucking up job interviews and making it hard to get acquainted with new people. It makes it worse when I get all self-conscious that people might think I'm retarded, and I don't want to have to come out and say "hey I'm not retarded I'm just otherwise psychologically or neurologically screwed up".

CrimsonLies 01.18.13	Dam man sorry to hear, I have a lateral lisp which is probably a lot less noticeable and easier to deal with but still I have a very hard time socializing with anyone, and I'm always self-conscious of what others might think which causes brings me self-esteem down. I'm always embarrassed to talk to anyone and with lack of confidence, it's hard for me to get certain things done. But I still try and push past it and just be myself. I also knew someone who has the same as yours and sometimes it would get really bad to the point where it seems like he's just making fun of it. It also caused him to not find girls, get a job etc but seriously, people who judge others for speech impediments are idiots and I'd love to see them be in the same position.
