They rule |
Atari
02.01.13 | Oh ok. Also i found a stream for 25 on youtube demigod. it's like 30 minutes long. |
JamieTwort
02.01.13 | @Atari: It's a type of folk that emerged sometime in the 80's with bands like Death in June and it's linked with martial industrial music. It's usually quite dark and often primarily acoustic guitar based. I'd say #7 is actually a cross between neofolk and dark folk. If you like folk in general you'll probably dig it. |
Atari
02.01.13 | death in june fucking rules so hard sounds sweet |
JamieTwort
02.01.13 | @Paperback: Thanks man. Hope you like them. |
JamieTwort
02.01.13 | @Jethro: I could definitely see you digging 8 and 18. |
Jethro42
02.01.13 | Ah thanks JT |
JamieTwort
02.01.13 | Also I believe you've heard 9 Jethro, well at least your rating suggests you have ;) |
Jethro42
02.01.13 | Yes, you're right, I missed that one in your list. Great stuff. The lady knows how to sing. |
Atari
02.01.13 | what would you rate Weh - Origins Jamie? I'm in a mood for folk more than thrash.
nvmd...just saw your rating i'll let you know what i think! |
JamieTwort
02.01.13 | Origins is great. It's a compilation of all of the the band's EP's/demos as well as some newly recorded tracks. There's a lot of material on there (2 discs) and there's some really good tracks, especially on the first half. |
Atari
02.01.13 | wow it really does sound similar to death in june. thanks again! |
Cygnatti
02.01.13 | I don't like folk or folk punk
but I liked things that are apparently neofolk or somethign. how odd. |
Atari
02.01.13 | Check out Weh then chipmunk it sounds amazing. |
GiaNXGX
02.01.13 | only good neofolk is the one that promotes neo-nazism yea |
evilford
02.01.13 | sweet cool list, mutilator rules

YankeeDudel
02.01.13 | nice jamie |
Atari
02.01.13 | I listened to number 25 and skele's rating is definitely off but it's not the most exciting thrash album i've heard |
JamieTwort
02.01.13 | Thanks ford.
Sup Yankee.
@Atari: Yeah it's not exactly groundbreaking or anything but the riffs rule and I love raw Brazilian thrash. |
ViperAces
02.01.13 | lol i knew peter green is going to be here |
Atari
02.01.13 | @JT, well it's certainly not a 1.5 lol |
JamieTwort
02.01.13 | @Viper: Have you listened to him? |
JamieTwort
02.01.13 | You'll love 4, Cap. |

02.01.13 | I'll second on 23, great band |
ViperAces
02.01.13 | nah, but you have been recing him around lately
maybe i would, what is he like? |
JamieTwort
02.01.13 | @Cap: Yeah you probably would, I know you already like 1.
@Viper: He's one of the most emotive guitar players ever. He was the original band leader of Fleetwood Mac before he went crazy. |
ViperAces
02.01.13 | can you link me up? prob wont find this on filestube lol |
JamieTwort
02.01.13 | I have no idea where to find links for his stuff either I'm afriad. I've got most of hist stuff on CD. Fleetwood Mac - Then Play On shouldn't be too hard to find though, that album's a pretty good introduction to him if you can't find 3. |
Chortles
02.01.13 | sweet, definitely gonna bookmark this. lots of interesting looking things on here |
JamieTwort
02.01.13 | Hope you find some stuff you dig, Chortles. |

JamieTwort
02.02.13 | Yeah definitely check the psych ones. I have physical copies of 16 and 17 so can't really help you there I'm afraid. You might
dig the fusion ones too, especially 8 and 18, if you haven't heard them. |
