Fair To Midland Ranked

Bored at work so just felt like ranking my favorite band, including their live ralbums/dvd and EP.
8Fair to Midland
The Drawn and Quartered EP

This EP is only 4 tracks long, two of which being live tracks and the other two
being demo versions of IFS tracks. While it's good, I couldn't really recommend this
to anyone besides FtM fans looking to add to their collection.

Welcome to the Dirt

An interesting DVD where fans could send in their videos from shows, then Cliff (the
guitarist) synced things up to the best of his ability from a professionally recorded
concert of theirs. It's amazing to see how far they've come (albeit just in
appearance in most cases, most notably Cliff's hair), but still retain their amazing
stage presence. Also has clips from Jon Dicken's last show and an oddly long intro
to Dance of the Manatee focusing on Brett Stowers.. possibly alluding to his
departure soon after this was released.
6Fair to Midland
The Carbon Copy Silver Lining

FtM's first, independent release. They were definitely still finding their sound and
that's more than apparent on this album. For years the band all but dismissed this
album, but I'm glad they finally rereleased this as there are some hidden gems on
here.

Live at the Machine Shop

You can definitely feel the energy watching this. The only downside I feel is that
Darroh sounds a little off (he was sick the week leading up to the live taping) and
spends a little too much time letting the crowd sing and crowd-surfing.
4 Fair to Midland
live @ Andy's Bar

Darroh sounds amazing on this, especially on the several covers they do. These
guys really know how to put on a show, even a more acoustic one like this.
3Fair to Midland
Inter.Funda.Stifle

I go back and forth between loving the raw sound on this album and the more
polished versions of tracks on Fables. I really wish Orphan Anthem and Quince
would have made it on Fables, but they are perfect as they are on here so it's
forgivable.
2Fair to Midland
Fables From a Mayfly

The album that got me into FtM. From the creepy intro of Tibet to the final chords
of Say When, this is a perfect album to my ears. April Fools and Eggmen has been in my top 5 favorite songs since I first heard
it years ago.
1Fair to Midland
Arrows and Anchors

Their best album to date. Fables is easily interchangeable with this, but since that
had several tracks carried over from IFS.. this takes first for me. Short-Haired Tornado, Uh-Oh, and The Greener Grass are the
three best songs on here imo.
