Havey 04.17.13	there were a couple Cerha releases in 2012 that i wanted to check out for the longest time but i just kept going back to Guba instead haha, eurgh. Next time i'm in the mood for some chamber music, hopefully.

liledman 04.17.13	Cerha's are probably better ;) All those Cerha releases on Kairos are great, and the quartets on Neos is great obviously. The older quartets disc with the Arditti quartet is a must have though. Oh and the Sciarrino quartets out on Kairos recently are really interesting too.
MisterTornado 04.17.13	Props for 2, 11, 32, 49, 55, 58 & 59. Nah Und Fern was one of the best christmas presents ever. Bowery Electric remains relatively obscure, surprising since their combo of BoC + shoegaze would be appreciated by many. Kouhei Matsunaga and the Dance Classics volumes are great, definitely needs more ears. Prop for Jeff Mills, that live set is insanity. Connan Mockasin rules too, hopefully he'll deliever something new this year. And apparently he was opening up for Radiohead in Australia (who would'a thought?). Also big ups for Regis (few do the deadpan minimal techno better) and Charles Bradley (vintage soul 4 ma heart!)

Cygnatti 04.17.13	probably not, he was one of the first 'other' bands I heard. I was seeing good remarks about him on rym and listened to 2 albums and hated it. I gave him another chance like 2 months ago and liked it even less than I remembered.

GiaNXGX 04.17.13	Jandek is certainly a hit-or-miss thing, but I don't consider fair to judge his music based off two albums when he's got quite 'the discography.' There's a lot of atonal improv-esque stuff, but that doesn't means he uses 'avant-chords' and shit to add to his obscurity or whatever. Anyways, you're not the only Jandek hater t's all good nigg

Gian I would say Spiegel is a must have also, though I prefer the quartets, as I usually prefer chamber works anyway. Tornado I agree on Bowery Electric, their sound would go down well on Sputnik. Also yes it was kind of funny that Connan Mockasin got such a massive support slot... good on him though. He has a cool vibe. It's almost like what the music of Mighty Boosh should sound like. And Charles Bradley pulls through with the goods again, the guy is awesome. PS it seems like it is always the same 5-6 people that pop up on my lists...

liledman 04.17.13	Cerha carries the torch from the Second Viennese School so he is absolutely worth checking out. Raccoo-oo-oon? Well with a name like that I guess I have to listen to them. Tornado maybe it's just the make-up/visual aesthetic but he always makes me think of Boosh. Guest soundtrack maybe. And Gian, always keep the love up for Moncur, he is brilliant.

liledman 04.17.13	I admit Jandek intrigued me as much as he pained me when I first heard him. Still, if you listen to Confusion is Sex by Sonic Youth, there are some pretty fucked up guitar sounds going on there, it's just context, phrasing, etc.

I must have around a thousand albums backed up I want to listen to. Its crazy. It really never ends ha. Just when you think youve heard all the good stuff somebody comes with another 50 albums.

GiaNXGX 04.17.13	I had around the same amount on my itunes last week until my computer unfortunately broke. It's kinda insane because after so much time I wasted using it to watch movies and download music I don't feel like I lossed something important, probably because most of the things I own are already cataloged online, but still, it's surprising how passive my reaction to this loss was.

liledman 04.17.13	Ah the digital age. I listened to Raccoo-oo-oon, they sound pretty cool. Haven't heard either of the others you mentioned Yankee so I will get on them. I have about 3000 albums on my Itunes now, so I'm guessing there is 500 or so that I haven't rated, meaning at least a few hundred which I haven't listened to... plus the ever-growing "to listen" playlist on Spotify.

GiaNXGX 04.17.13	God knows, I just runned Ccleaner and turned it off and then it randomly stopped working. Its screen didn't boot, so Ccleaner cleaned more than it had to I guess, w32/crucial files eh. And no Yankee take a look at 'banned users' thread, though that nude was artistic and not 'vulgar'. Anyway, I'm on my phone now,. Physical copies are obviously better, that feeling you get when a vinyl or cassete hits your mail!! I didn't used spotify but made docxs about 'music to discover', haha, good times.
