| My Five Favorite Albums
My 5 (as of now) favorite albums. My favorites always change but for now I feel as if my life is complete with these albums. | 1 | | Deftones Around the Fur
This has been my favorite record for years and it will probably stay that way. Who cares if its nu-metal or whatever, enjoy the music for what it is a masterpiece of beautiful, haunting music. | 2 | | 311 Grassroots
This is quite the album to own. Not a weak song on this record all the songs are highly original and full of energy! | 3 | | Incubus S.C.I.E.N.C.E.
Only one word is needed to describe this ambitious masterpiece. Awesome! This album is jam-packed with great music and what I like to call, well thought out lyrics. Take for example the lyrics from "New Skin" which talk about the ills of society. Truly a masterpiece in all its forums. | 4 | | Dream Theater Awake
This is perhaps some of the most carefully composed heavy metal music I have ever heard. Every song on this album has amazing guitar riffs from John Petrucci, thundering bass lines from J. Myung, almost non-human drumming from Mike Portnoy and unforgettable keys from Kevin Moor and lets not forgot the strong deliverance of vocals from Jame LaBrie. | 5 | | Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin III
I consider this the best release from Zeppelin. Now thats not to say that the other releases are not up to par with this one, but this album has so many songs that I grew up listening to and now being older and understanding it a bit more just makes it such a beauty to listen to. | |

01.20.08 | 3 and 4 are awesome, in my top 50 or so.
However, Images and Words and Scenes From a Memory are better than Awake, even though I prefer the moodier, dark atmosphere on Awake.
btw, edit the list so you get the right cover for Awake. | BallsToTheWall
01.20.08 | 1 is my favorite Deftones album bar none, great choice. | Dis_Con_Nec_Ted
01.20.08 | 1,3,4 are great. | Bak
01.20.08 | I totally agree with five, it was their most mature and interesting album. | Chewie
01.20.08 | good call on all of these, 3,5 are amazing. And i have Saturday Night Wrist by Deftones and they rule. I should pick up Around the Fur and White Pony. | Flyboy
01.21.08 | Yeah man White Pony and Around the Fur are must haves. I love both of them!
bodominflames it was hard to choose my favorite DT record. I was debating in my head which one I liked better I&W or SFAM, but in the end I just picked Awake b/c everyone seems so focused on this record and James' vocals hit the spot everytime, like as soon as they hit the studio they were like, "lets just make a great record". I also think that Voices helped me make my choice too!
Yeah back when S.C.I.E.N.C.E. came out no one sounded like that! Then a lot of bands attempted to achieve that sound, but no one could.
For me it was difficult to pick a favorite Zeppelin album. I had to choose between Houses of the Holy and III, but like you said it is the most mature and interesting of the both. | skullcrusher149
01.26.08 | I was seriously confused about 4, then i realized a typo :D | arsonist88
04.25.08 | Around the Fur and S.C.I.E.N.C.E. are both in my top 5 favorite albums of all time. Pretty solid list my friend. | Comrade
12.01.08 | Any Deftones album is a good album.
I agree with you on five being the best release from Zeppelin. I find most of my favorite songs from Zeppelin are on that album. |
