Ilove2010s Pt. 1/3
My 33 current favorites of the decade. Genre tags and a youtube sample included. 1 needs a
review badly. |
33 | | Clubroot III - MMXII
Dubstep . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yz-PPdD9WqM |
32 | | So Hideous To Clasp a Fallen Wish With Broken Fingers
Hardcore / Black Metal / Post-Rock . http://www.youtube.com/watch?

31 | | Kashiwa Daisuke Re:
Glitch / Breakbeat . Damn those japanese people. http://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=feShpPLivK0 |
30 | | A Lot Like Birds Conversation Piece
Post-Hardcore . Will go down as the post-hc record of the decade.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN4YMZ7-D7c |
29 | | World's End Girlfriend Starry Starry Night
Glitch . I found this to be quite different to his usual sound. A lot more simple in a
way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l11rMm3B_KQ |
28 | | Super Flu Heimatmelodien
Minimal Techno . Typically german minimal techno. A genre I've been enjoying a lot
in the last 2-3 years. Tends to be a lot more upbeat and fun than most other
electronic music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPcPfnTflbQ |
27 | | Burial Truant / Rough Sleeper
Dubstep . Yes, there is this Kindred record that also got released in 2012 and it's
the better record. I still end up enjoying this a lot more. I hope his next releases
end up being 2 song full length LPs in a similar direction as Truant/Rough Sleeper.
He got the ideas to support 30 minute+ songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?

26 | | Deer Leap and The World Is A Beautiful Place... Are Here To Help You
Emo . You must be crazy or something if you didn't give this a spin yet.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6KeAphCN-k |
25 | | LHF Keepers Of The Light
Dubstep . A 150 minutes long journey through the cosmos, wubs all inclusive.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShxFWMDq7hs |
24 | | The Haxan Cloak Excavation
SpoOoky Dronebient . Drops the bass harder than most Dubsteppers.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xba4IfsS3ew |
23 | | From The Mouth Of The Sun Woven Tide
Ambient . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pG4INc5SOeI |
22 | | Thriftworks Hydromancy
Dubstup . This literally came out of nowhere. http://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=R2TV_YXma2E |
21 | | Nazoranai Nazoranai
Noise Rock . The amount of stuff these guys release with all of their solo and
sideprojects is staggering. It also warrants that at least one album somehow ends
up being so incredibly awesome that I can't not call it one of the bests of the
decade. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_DWlRggt3U |
20 | | Captain Planet Treibeis
Punk . It's german and one of its qualities are the lyrics so this is probably not a rec
fit for sputnik. If you like the punx you'll also like this song though
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnFaxur4gro |
19 | | Ludovico Einaudi In a Time Lapse
Classical . He makes things sound really cool. Yes that's my description.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfz-XDWPt-M |
18 | | Terrence Dixon From The Far Future - Part 2
Minimal Techno . Deviant 5ed it. Listen to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=MWhgmR41TMw |
17 | | Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Pamyu Pamyu Revolution
J-Pop . http://i.imgur.com/aJU26kP.jpg Straightest album of all time [2]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoK8DaJRDaM |
16 | | Dark Time Sunshine ANX
Hip-Hop . I'm anything but a friend of Hip-Hop as of late so the fact that I enjoy
this record so much should speak for itself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=jvPzo-E2zfA |
15 | | Fire! Orchestra Exit
Free Jazz . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqoBUuA8g1o |
14 | | Sepalcure Sepalcure
Garage . Go read Dev's review, 100% agree with every word.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ym8q68LO7bE |
13 | | Touche Amore/La Dispute Searching for a Pulse/The Worth of the World
Post-Hardcore . Say what you will about either of those two bands but these are
some high quality hardcore jams. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtvjRtMcr8s |
12 | | Ling Tosite Sigure still a sigure virgin
Post-Hardcore / Indie - They are the most consistent band ever and oh they are
japanese. What a surprise. They also released an album this year (i'mperfect) which
might be better than this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueHZGC6mgp8 |
11 | | Daighila Transitions
Screamo / Hardcore . Straight up wrecks. Has that oldschool skramz feel to it while
still sounding fresh. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeysvbQoITs |
10 | | Continents. .?.?.?and silence anchored our feet in granite
Melodic Hardcore / Screamo . I have to admit that this album has it's weaknesses,
especially in the middle part, but when it's on it far exceeds anything I know in the
genre. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOa9-LnmVNw |
9 | | Girls' Generation Girls' Generation (JP Release)
K-Pop . The best K-Pop album ever was released in Japan. Is this a sign?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLji6n85Vfg |
8 | | Vales Clarity
Melodic Hardcore . The energy on this record is beyond insanity.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9P2LFqLVPVg |
7 | | Nhato Etude
Trance . Kinda guilty pleasure I guess. Oh wait, he is japanese, it's obviously better
than everything else. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY-lr-mJF8U |
6 | | Francis Harris Leland
Deep House . Extremely mellow but still danceable.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2L4vi920jk |
5 | | Yamantaka // Sonic Titan YT//ST
Psychedelic Prog Rock . They are part japanese so this is obviously amazing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKrRII9-pwI |
4 | | Phon.o Black Boulder
Dubstep . While this is first and foremost a dubstep release it heavily incorporates
all sorts of trendy electronic influences in order to form maybe the best allround
dance album in the bass sector. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wA0AvD1KsA0 |
3 | | Jambinai Différance
Post-Rock . This band uses various different traditional Korean instruments to
create very unique post-rock. Although they are mostly playing accoustic
instruments their sound is by far heavier than most other post-rock. They're also
pretty good at the triangle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyQoJj94Blw |
2 | | More Than Life Love Let Me Go
Hardcore . >tfw no gf http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWybcsPcRuw |
1 | | Momoiro Clover Z 5th Dimension
J-Pop . Easily the greatest achievement of humankind.
