08.07.13 | Based off ratings, all are only double digits (okay, one of them is just over 100), but a large handful have less than ten
ratings. Still...waiting for "I know all of these." |

08.07.13 | I was short an album when I got to 50, so that's now a second album with over 100 ratings; still don't hear about it too often. |

08.07.13 | CK, I love me some 40. Their previous album deserves a spot on this list too. I just picked up 21 on vinyl. |

08.08.13 | Giant list right here... Where should I start? I like things that are post-rocky and things that make me feel warm and fuzzy (this can also mean sad and brooding), but I'm open to expansion. |

08.08.13 | Lots of awesome, sort of overlooked shit, have a pos. 16 is a rad indie folk album, and seems to fit the tastes of many people here, while being madly overlooked |

08.08.13 | Great. I tried to edit the artwork for 24 (doesn't work with or without the accent) and then 28 disappeared. Nothing good ever comes from trying to edit a list and/or description. |
c0ffee
08.08.13 | Riviere, my top 5? Give me a sec. |
c0ffee
08.09.13 | Okay. Not exactly 5, but I tried to pick some that have really sucked me in recently. So these aren't necessarily what I consider "best" since all 50 of these sit rather close together in quality depending on one's taste.
I'll start with #4. The vocals are strange/eerie as all get-out, but those helium-breath melodies get stuck in your head.
I'd recommend #1 if you think you'll enjoy a collision of electronic with all kinds of sounds. Let it embody your car rides, study nights, or city walks. #5 or #18 if you want something similar but less hectic with more predictable rhythms and more chilled out.
#6 is a narrative folk album, and it's purposely more stripped down than Radical Face's first album. I'd definitely check out Ghost along with The Roots. #13 is a rather bare folk album (reminds me of sitting/drinking in a 1940s parlor/bar) until its explosive, spastic, and quite lengthy electronic finisher.
#37 for some minimalistic but captivating sounds. The first track actually has either a melody or guitar tone that reminds me of Godspeed's Dead Flag Blues. Keeping it with simplistic sounds, check out #12 for a more classical influenced "pretty sounds" album. #7 fits in right here.
#41 and #3 if you're into slow-tempo, somber songs, or if it's 2am and you're feeling introspective.
#8 isn't really like The National, but Bazan does have a lower register, depressing voice.
