08.16.13 | thanks, will check out everything tomorrow |
Keyblade
08.16.13 | Kauan - Aava Tuulen Maa is another good one, thanks for reminding me JT heh
OF started out playing neofolk, and Marras is one of my favorites of the genre, think that'd be a good place to start dude. |
Evreaia
08.16.13 | aaah great, just asking because that latest surely wasnt neofolk |
Keyblade
08.16.13 | Haha yeah. I need to jam that one again, it was kinda underwhelming. |
Evreaia
08.16.13 | I liked the bass in that record though
also, where are the damned recs, normally everyone here jumps on those "rec me" threads. And now only you and JT gave some |
InfamousGrouse

geasoftime
08.16.13 | Check out Wardruna, Nest, Forseti, or Pilori. I second the Kauan, Current 93, and Of the Wand and the Moon recommendations also. |

08.16.13 | Two other big acts that I haven't gotten the chance to listen to very much yet are Rome, and Nature and Organisation. Nature and Organisation worked with David Tibet at some point. You can also look up Boyd Rice who has a group called NON, if you don't mind neo-nazism. |
Relinquished
08.16.13 | in gowan ring |
Cygnatti
08.16.13 | Death in June and Rome are popular ones. Death in June is probably the most popular and influential. Dead can dance too. |
geasoftime
08.16.13 | Ainulindale's Lay of Lethian is pretty good as well. And, Sig:Ar:Tyr is another group you should look into. |
TrueBlood

08.17.13 | @Cygnatti: isn't dead can dance post punk? (or at least that latest album) |
idkpokeit
08.17.13 | Nest and Ulver's second album |
WeepingBanana
08.17.13 | Nest - Woodsmoke |
jackboblamont
08.18.13 | My favorite one after the big three (Death in June, Current 93 & Sol Invictus) is Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio. Also Cult of Youth, Triore and Spiritual Front are great. Some Nick Cave and Tom Waits (especially Mule Variations, Bone Machine and Real Gone) have kind of a neofolk sound to them. |
Evreaia
08.19.13 | Thanks bros, will check 'em out hard |
