Drifters/Love Is the Devil
The second half of Dirty Beaches' brilliant double album ("Love Is the Devil") contains
almost all the ambient music - it's mesmerizing and much stronger than the first half.
Dirty Beaches also released the Water Park OST this year, which is very different but

The Man Who Died In His Boat
Probably Grouper's most accessible album and a good introduction to her style. It's
interesting how uncomfortable the music sounds the one time cuts the drones and just

Immunity
Only occasionally ambient, but maybe my #1 album overall so far. The title track is

Technically from last year and not Carceri's best, but still gloomy and very unsettling.
