08.24.13 | Hmm...1 is definitely 1, but I'd have 5 higher and 2 lower.
With his stuff, it really is all personal preference though. The quality is, for the most part, consistent through out all of his records. |

08.24.13 | mine would be Swans > Illinois > Adz > Michigan
those are the only ones i've heard. Props on making a Sufjan list, dude doesn't get enough love round here. |

08.24.13 | Other than Seven Swans needing to be switched with Michigan, pretty good ranking. |

08.24.13 | The weird thing about Sufjan is that lots of people love him here, but he barely gets discussed.
Is All The Delighted People similair to any of his other work? And is The Avalanche worth getting into being b sides and all |

08.24.13 | I made a lot of mistakes.
In my mind. In my mind. |

08.24.13 | All The Delighted People is what he made right after Illinois in the period between Age of Adz. I haven't heard it but my friend told me its really really amazing. Im guessing its kind of the afterbirth of whatever creative transition he was in.
My ranking is that I've only heard AOA and Illinois and wouldn't want to rank them, since theyre such different beasts. Illinois has very amazing arrangements and placement, whereas for all its quirks Adz is a little bit more tradition in terms in the arrangements. But then again, Age of Adz has Impossible Soul, and I haven't tripped to any song I've heard of his as hard as it. Like the face that he even made that song instates him as a master. |

08.24.13 | Yeah, Adz is easily my favorite by Sufjan. |

08.24.13 | All Delighted People is definitely transitional, it has the arrangements of Illinois, and foreshadows the electronica of Adz. It is a little inconsistent tho. Half the songs are incredible and half are just perfectly decent Sufjan songs. Title track is perfect.
But both Illinois and Michigan are undisputed masterpieces. |
