| Need Some Help Here
I need some help. I'm looking for great female fronted bands, mainly female lead vocals... or at the very least male/female shared vocals in wish the female gets a good amount of singing. The bands belows are the bands I've listen to already. I'm especially looking for bands in the Hardcore, Post-Harcore, Punk, Metal area, but as long as the band is great any band is welcomed. | 1 | Nightwish | 2 | Hole | 3 | Otep | 4 | Paramore | 5 | The Distillers | 6 | The Muffs | |

03.21.08 | I forgot to mention Flyleaf | BallsToTheWall
03.21.08 | I'm pretty much Sputnik's favorite Women fronted metal bands or music in general so here.
Hooverphonic- LSD Club- check the review, not metal but good.
Massive Attack- Mezzanine- Trip Hop I think.
Nightwish- Century Child, Oceanborn, Once, Dark Passion Play
After Forever- After Forever. Metal.
Deadlock- Wolves- German melo death with female singing and dude roars.
Bjork- Homogenic
The Birthday Massacre- Violet- Walking With Strangers. Darkwave, pop.
Stars- In Our Bedroom After The War. Indie
Stolen babies- There Be Squabbles Ahead. Cabaret, punk, etc.
Regina Spektor- Begin To Hope
Slowdive- Souvlaki. Shoegaze.
There's more but I can't think of it all now. Enjoy.

03.21.08 | Draconian. They have split male/female vocals, and their new album is amazing. | cometuesday
03.21.08 | Flyleaf is so awful man...
Um, Beth Gibbons (Portishead/Trip Hip), Karen O (Yeah Yeah Yeahs/indie punk whatever), Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls), Shirley Manson (Garbage) are a few musts. I have to echo Bjork as well, even if some of her stuff may be a bit weird at first listen. Also Fiona Apple is really quite good, and you might want to check out Collide if you think you'd dig electronica/industrial type thing.
I dunno dude there's a lot out there. | PureRockFury

oh, and check out "little baby nothing" and "your love alone in not enough" by the manic street preachers. they've got guest vocals from Traci Lords, and from Nina Perrson (i think that's her name...). | UrbanM11
03.21.08 | check out Gossip and Tsunami Bomb, both great bands imo | icaught fire444
03.21.08 | Clouds Take Shape. Not exactly any of these genres, but they're great. Check out Right the Wrongs. |
