| The Real AOTY Ranked
Forget your Deafheaven or Kayo Dot, this album is the prog, stoner rand sludge AOTY all at the rsame time.rFull stream: http://humanfly.bandcamp.com/album/awesome-science-2 | 7 | | Humanfly Awesome Science | 6 | | Humanfly Awesome Science
The Apple That Never Fell - Absolutely brilliant track, but the guitarwork doesn't
have quite the same face-melting quality as the other songs. That lil break of
quietness is amazing though | 5 | | Humanfly Awesome Science
The Armour of Science - At almost 15 minutes, you do slightly tire of those jarring
doomy riffs, so that Floyd-esque second half is hugely welcome. Beastly track all
the same | 4 | | Humanfly Awesome Science
Poetry of Light - Another perfect main riff, a more simple but just as effective song | 3 | | Humanfly Awesome Science
Frozen In Time, Billions of Light Years Away - The vocals in this song are awesome,
almost bluesy. And that heavy as shit ending could not finish the album more
perfectly | 2 | | Humanfly Awesome Science
Golden Arrows - Almost as equally incredible as #1, there's a kind of powerful
beauty to this song | 1 | | Humanfly Awesome Science
A Majestic Story - Holy shit, that second half blows my mind. How a band can pack
that many insane riffs into 2 minutes is past me | |
Mad.

Seriously check this, unmissable but has completely passed under the radar | SirDrumsalot
12.27.13 | Welp. Not too bad. Dont like the guys voice or singing though. But when they are just jammin its pretty good. | Mad.
12.27.13 | I really like his voice, especially in the last track. Really atmospheric... it's meant to be as abstract as it is | insomniac15
12.27.13 | You really love this record. It's great, but I love The National's Trouble Will Find Me most. The two are really different stuff. I'm curious to see your top albums of the year. | mryrtmrnfoxxxy
12.27.13 | jammin now | Mad.
12.27.13 | Eh, I haven't listened to enough properly to make that list. I'm still trying to expand my taste in general. This album really connects with me though, the first two tracks are perfect examples the kinda music that I love the most (prog/stoner and mixed together)
What kind of a rating is it sitting at for you? | mryrtmrnfoxxxy

12.27.13 | i haven't jammed the album enough to really give a solid ranking, but u already know i agree with ur ranking for 1 & 2
also, agreed that vox is not the strongest here, but the instrumentals more than make up for it i feel | insomniac15
12.27.13 | It's a 4 as of now, but I have to listen to it more. I've been busy with the end of year lists for Sputnik and didn't manage to check it in the past week. | Mad.
12.27.13 | @Dunpeal Definitely jam it more, it's worth it!
The vox really grew on me, they work well with the album's feel imo
@Insomniac 4 is pretty accurate, it started as about that for me, but you can kind of tell tracks like The Armour of Science and The Apple That Never Fell will be growers | Mad.
12.28.13 | I think you'd like it Cap'n | ShitsofRain

12.29.13 | album art reminds me of worse than alone, reason enough for me to listen.. | Mad.
12.29.13 | @Cap'n It's a grower man... believe me. I didn't really like track 3 or 5 at one point
@Calc their quite different to TNTLLY but the cover art is awesome | Calc
12.29.13 | oh i didn't think they'd be similar at all, this aint bad though. not at all. | Mad.
