North0House2 01.24.14	I've been working out, and working 6 days work weeks, writing music... doing everything I can to shake it. I can't. Maybe time will mend it, but it's been 4 months. I'm even starting things with a real cool girl that I like a lot, who I can tell legitimately cares a great deal about me. But man I've just been so abused and used for so long it's catching up to me. Give me some anger recs. I've gotta jam this out.

North0House2 01.24.14	Man, bach, I usually can handle this stuff by listening to Stars of the Lid. I used to feel hurt here, but now it's just turned to such anger because I'm sick and tired of this. So I've been listening to some harder jams. 5 is just about the best thing for this crap, but it's not long enough lol.

Butkuiss 01.24.14	I get the feelings, dude. I doubt I have it quite as bad as you in some ways, but I'll throw in my 0.02 anyway, on the off chance it helps. Excuse me if I come off a bit preachy. In my experience, keeping yourself occupied by staying completely and utterly busy does work as a coping strategy when dealing with negative emotions, and it really helps to avoid focusing on them. But at the same time, if you start playing with your second-order desires, and resenting and suppressing feelings instead of just accepting and allowing yourself to feel them, you're going to run into a lot more trouble with anxiety and emotional stress. Going around with an attitude like "It's been four months, I should be over Event X" or "I'm not going to give person Y the satisfaction of causing me to feel like this" is only going to exhaust you while you fight against the current, instead of just going with it until it gets a bit calmer downstream. Meditation is sure going to help, but in my experience, the more physical your method of bodily relaxation, the better. You'd be surprised how similar the breathing patterns, and subsequent clarity of mind, you achieve from intense exercise like weightlifting or long-distance x-country are to those you get meditating. Also, exercise increases serotonin production (which is really important if you're dealing with any sort of mental or emotional issues), and tiring your body out gives you less time to angst about your feelings. Plus, you'll get the added benefit of looking great. The most important thing to remember is that life is in a perpetual state of flux and change and attempting to read patterns or order into chaos is really a futile affair. Nobody is perfect, least of all ourselves, but there are seven billion other people on the earth, and all of them feel varying degrees of alone. It's all a learning experience, man. Anyway, know that at the very least, Sputnik cares about you a great deal, and I'm sure that there are a lot of other people who do too.

OysterizerInsomniac 01.24.14	Yeah, like everyone else has said, exercise definitely helps. I'd also recommend writing a stream of consciousness or two. That always helps me make more sense of my thoughts/feelings if not feel better about things.
