SgtPepper
02.19.14 | Hidden Orchestra--- I guess they're somewhat similar to 1, but they're instrumental and more jazz-focused. although they mix downtempo, ambient/quasi-psychedelic mellowness, and string arrangements.
recommended tracks: hushed, spoken, dust
Madlib- Yesterdays Quintet series - This guy released a couple of nu-jazz in vein somewhat similar to 1, but closer to Hidden Orchestra. He's actually a hip-hop producer but he's got a good feel for jazz as well. A lot of his stuff is very smooth and slick sounding. He's got a toned-downed rawness though to his playing, but he mostly sticks to a mellow atmospheric sound.

02.19.14 | here's something yummy from last month, it has more of a Brazilian feel but there is a few nice jazzy joints - listen to the b-side, definitely classifies under easy listening

02.20.14 | Well, if you like instrumental, Plini mixes rock and jazz fusion in pretty cool way. His influences go from soft-rock to metal and result in some excellent music, particularly for what you're looking for.
Also, you might like No-Man's Returning Jesus album. It has a bit more of a chill-out album, but you can still find some jazz and Talk Talk influences.
Also, it seems to be a great list. I don't know much of those albums, except for Laughing Stock, but I'll check some of them out. | Ending

02.20.14 | for the easy listening jazz I'd highly recommend Bill Evans Trio - Sunday at the Village Vanguard and/or Waltz For Debby.
no horns, just a kickass piano trio in a live setting. classically influenced pianist who played on most of the cuts on Miles Davis' Kind of Blue (which is another great recommendation for accessible jazz) | PunchforPunch
02.20.14 | don't listen to bill evans he's awful and got no soul. | osmark86
