| Alchemy Index-the True Ranks...
I'm just kidding. Why would i rank an album after only listening to it for a week? Next question would be why would I rank a set of albums that really doesn't deserve all the attention? I don't have an answer so here's a Dig list that even the Fonze would have to say "Ehhhh!!" to. | 1 | | In Mourning Shrouded Divine
A couple listens in and this is, simply put, a beast of an album. Progressive Death Metal done right with amazing riffs and creativity in general. Vocals are delicious both clean and dirty and give me that warm, tingly feeling inside. | 2 | | ISIS Celestial
My first taste of ISIS and i have to say, it tastes like warm apple pie. This seemed to be a perfect start with this Post-Metal/Sludge/Drone band. I will be exploring the rest of their discography soon. Where should i go next? | 3 | | Disillusion Three Neuron Kings EP
A heavier outing from disillusion. It lacks some of the beauty of Back to Times of Splendor but makes up for it in heaviness and in its ability to crush the listener. Another amazing Prog-Death album from a great band. | 4 | | The Streets Original Pirate Material
Recently found this and put it back on and was reminded of its brilliance. English rap that is leagues ahead of the American "gangsta" or "bitches and bling" style of rap. As diverse a rap album as you will ever find with a deliver that makes it unique and an honesty that makes it incredible. | 5 | | dredg Leitmotif
In my opinion, dredg's best release. It has an aggressiveness and grittiness not found on their later albums. The vocals are much more emotion filled then than the soaring almost too well-produced vocals of new. Just an amazing album. | |

04.14.08 | I was hoping to neg you for making a stab at Alchemy Index lists (of which mine is the latest).
I can't. It's a good list. Damn you.
But in case you wanted to know, I thought "The Alchemy Index" was good enough to warrant a list...nevermind if you thought it was good enough. | Cuban Pete
04.14.08 | you decieving snake in the grass | Chewie
04.14.08 | NICER DICER | willfellmarsy
04.14.08 | Wasn't meant to be offensive to you just the general idea that you could pick out which songs you like most in just a week. Basically for everyone going crazy about which songs are better than which and whatnot. | Metalikane
04.15.08 | Been loving 1 lately, and I agree with you about 5. | willfellmarsy
04.15.08 | Metalikane...i looked at your album ratings and noticed you don't have any disillusion ratings. If you haven't listened i suggest you check out Back to Times of Splendor. We have similar tastes and i think it's absolutely fantastic. | Metalikane
04.15.08 | Actually I just got that record in the mail the other day but haven't got a chance to really listen to it yet. What I've heard sounds pretty good though. | willfellmarsy
04.15.08 | Good let me know when you give it a 5 so i can smile. | Metalikane
04.15.08 | ha, right on | steadyeddie
04.15.08 | today was cold and pretty rainy, and 1 was such a fitting record to listen to on the way to Uni. Isis is an awesome band but I've only got In the Absence of Truth which is kick ass. 5 is real tasty as well, I could listen to Lechium on repeat all day | charlesfishowitz
04.15.08 | when i saw the title for the list i was about to go off on you...
no more....
anyways, i think i'll be checking out 2 in the near future. | willfellmarsy
04.15.08 | it's pretty good but nothing excellent. I'm going to get another one of their later albums to see how they evolved. If you're into post-etal check out Minsk...they are excellent. |
