| Red Hot Chili Peppers Ranked
There's been A LOT of debate in the review section about this. Here's a list
version. Also if you don't like RHCP at all, don't bother commenting... | 10 | | Red Hot Chili Peppers I'm with You
I get it they're trying to sound all mature now... it's too bad that also means sounding
like a washed up hack. Basically, it took the worst parts of Stadium Arcadium and
magnified them. 1/5 | 9 | | Red Hot Chili Peppers Stadium Arcadium
A double album of mainly washed out poppy, generic, rock music. "Hump de Bump"
and a few others have some oomph in them, but for the most part this is about as
interesting as By the Way's b-sides are. 1.5/5 | 8 | | Red Hot Chili Peppers By the Way
The Chili Peppers steadily are slowly declining from funky, fun, alternative rock into
poppy bullshit, but at least the mellow tracks have a lot of heart in them. The more
upbeat ones are decent too. Plus Flea finally brought back his trumpet that was
missing for two albums. 2.5/5 | 7 | | Red Hot Chili Peppers The Red Hot Chili Peppers
This is an honest start up, but not really all that strong. It has a few classics. Even the
creepy "Mommy, Where's Daddy?" is rather catchy. 3/5 | 6 | | Red Hot Chili Peppers Californication
A really solid record, there's a ton of classics on here don't get me wrong. It just
seems a little more washed out than their previous stuff. A little poppier... here's
where the decline trend begins. "Emit Remmus" is fantastic especially. 3.5/5 | 5 | | Red Hot Chili Peppers Freaky Styley
This is actually tied with Californication basically. It has a ton of classics, but you can
still tell that RHCP hasn't found their sound yet. Still great, but unlike Californication,
this is on the upslope side of the graph. 3.5/5 | 4 | | Red Hot Chili Peppers Mother's Milk
This was the first album of theirs that caught public attention and for good reason. It's
catchy, fun, and diverse. "Taste the Pain" and "Sexy Mexican Maid" are 2 of the best
songs they have to offer, but those aren't the only classics on here. 4/5 | 3 | | Red Hot Chili Peppers The Uplift Mofo Party Plan
This album is just fun. They even make a Bob Dylan song sound like their own.
"Special Secret Song Inside", "Skinny Sweaty Man", "Bakcwoods", you name it, the
dirty references are everywhere. 4.5/5 | 2 | | Red Hot Chili Peppers One Hot Minute
All of the people who like their watered down later stuff the most tend to really not
like this album. Those who prefer their funky, fun, and crazy stuff however, will know
this is key. "Falling into Grace" and "Coffee Shop" are so catchy man. Too bad RHCP
refuses to play any song on here live. 4.5/5 | 1 | | Red Hot Chili Peppers Blood Sugar Sex Magik
Well duh. This album is the pinnacle of RHCP. "Apache Rose Peacock", "If you Have to
Ask", "Mellowship Slinky in B Major", "SIR PSYCHO SEXY", basically all of their
classics are on here. With that said this album isn't perfect. RHCP never made
anything I could willingly rank a 5. This isn't Mr. Bungle y'know. 4.5/5 | |

04.14.14 | Although I have my disagreements with this ranking, it's fairly decent.
For me it goes: 5, 3, 7, 4 & 1 (those are close), 2, 6 & 8 (close again) and then the bottom 2, with which I agree. | NeroCorleone80
04.14.14 | 3,5,7 > the rest | YoYoMancuso
04.14.14 | wow 8 is 2 man | OZZGabriel
04.14.14 | Damn, 8 is really low. I know I'm a Frusciante fanboy but I think that albums deserves a little bit more recognition. | mandan
04.14.14 | The second half on BtW blows for the most part. | NeroCorleone80
04.14.14 | Funk is what suits them | ArsMoriendi
04.14.14 | I like 1-8.
9 and 10 are terrible though...
I prefer their funky side by far, what can I say? | mandan
04.14.14 | Funk is what suits them[2] | mandan
04.14.14 | 6 & 8 are their most overrated albums.
9 is a tad overrated as well. | ArsMoriendi
04.14.14 | @dannyboy: I agree, but I still think 6 is better than 7. 6 has some funk on it anyway... could have more though...
Funk is what suits them[3] | mandan
04.14.14 | Well, who knows? We'll see if that opinion sticks over time or not. Anyways:
Funk is what suits them[4] | ElvisAlt12
04.14.14 | I have some disagreements with this as well, but nice list!
Funk is what suits them [5] | ArsMoriendi
04.15.14 | @ElvisAlt12: What would those disagreements be? I'm curious and up for a good debate. | Muisc4Life26
04.15.14 | 4 is 2, i agree with 1 being 1, but 6 and 8 are way to low and 2 is way to high. | mandan
04.15.14 | Nah, 8 is fine where it is imo. | Rsetness9
04.15.14 | All of their albums honestly suck and have no sense to them - they ramble with horrible lyrics and most of their songs lack clear structure. Their singles are mostly good though. | OwMySnauze
04.15.14 | they're used to torment terrorists now. | scottpilgrim10
04.15.14 | 6 is great, I would have placed it a lot higher since it includes my favorite RHCP song Otherside. | mandan
04.15.14 | Otherside is a cool song, but imo Parallel Universe is the best song on Cali, sucks that they didn't play it live.
| BMDrummer
04.15.14 | Band was good, agree with the ranking for the most part. | ArsMoriendi
04.15.14 | @dannyboy89: "Emett Remmus" and "Easily" are my favorites from Cali. | NeroCorleone80
04.15.14 | We are the brothers cup | L4titudes
04.15.14 | 1,8,4,5,6,9,2,3,7,10 | mandan
04.15.14 | I really don't like "Emmit Remmus", for me it's one of the fillers on Cali. To each their own ofc.
"Easily" is pretty cool though. | NeroCorleone80
04.15.14 | Their alt rock is bland | mandan
04.15.14 | funky RHCP >>> non-funky RHCP | L4titudes
04.15.14 | i'd say they are pretty solid at both.. funky stuff is just more fun | mandan
04.15.14 | They generally wrote more shit the less funky they got. Lately it seems they've been writing more bad songs than good ones. | NeroCorleone80
04.15.14 | Flea's bass playing was so much better in the 80s | mandan
04.15.14 | Agreed hard. | ArsMoriendi
04.15.14 | I feel like One Hot Minute had their best ideas and sound, the problem was that it was REALLY UNFOCUSED and went off
into space a lot (in a bad way.) It they would have focused it more on the point and had stronger themes, it would
probably be my favorite. | sapient
04.15.14 | 10 is underrated IMO, it's far from perfect but had its moments
Agreed hard on 1 being 1 though, one of my all time favs | wacknizzle
04.15.14 | someone come jam RHCP on plug with me | mandan
04.15.14 | How people can even make it through 10 without getting a splitting headache is beyond me. | scottpilgrim10
04.15.14 | You guys have to admit Monarchy of Roses is good. | ArsMoriendi
04.15.14 | @scottpilgrim10: Not at all. | scottpilgrim10
04.15.14 | That song was such a good opener for the album, and for the concert I went to.
How do you not like it? | Davil667
05.13.14 | Great job, the perfect ranking! | SirDrumsalot
05.13.14 | Holy crap! Someone else that actually likes One Hot Minute more than the newer garbage they are putting out!
For me it goes 2, 1, 4...then I really just dont care about the rest. | mandan
05.13.14 | In the words of brother piss:
