05.01.08 | for the manics, go for the first three albums, however, make sure you get the UK version of generation terrorists, and the 10th anniversary edition of the holy bible. trust me. more tracks, better mixes - all good! |

05.01.08 | The only one I know well is the Lips, and I'd start either chronologically if you want to hear the band grow, or if you want to skip to their peak, start from The Soft Bulletin and go from there. |
Electric City
05.01.08 | Eluvium is amazing ambient beauty. I recommend him over this entire list. |
NOTINTHEFACE
05.01.08 | Eluvium is the only one of these I've listened to... but I highly reccomend it. It's hard to pick a place to start though... if you really plan on investing time into it, I'd go for the "When I Live by the Garden and the Sea" EP. Although not fantastic in itself as an EP, it gives you an idea of what to expect in an album, and thus makes the experience of hearing one much better, IMO. Otherwise, I'd just start with Copia. |
Doppelganger
05.01.08 | For the Flaming Lips, start with Yoshimi Versus The Pink Robots or The Soft Bulletin.
For Tom Waits, definitely Rain Dogs. Pretty much all of his work is amazing, Rain Dogs is his best though.
Holy Bible for the Manics.
You really can't go wrong with any Eluvium.
Haven't heard any BvsS
The *Dear Hunter is boring, Deerhunter is a great band though.

05.02.08 | The Holy Bible by the Manic Street Preachers is essential listening. It is unquestionably the best Rock N' Roll album ever created. Get it now.
For the rest:
The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles Pink Robots
Eluvium - Copia
Bear Vs. Shark - Right Now You're In The Best of Hands |
