Standout Metalcore Bands (imo)

Metalcore bands that may or may not receive a bunch of hate which I personally find to be rather unique, and which I find to standout from the genericore scene.
1Motionless in White

Very tight instrumentation, unique use of synth, constantly expanding genres and
experimenting with new sounds, rather uncommon sincerity and interesting
goth/horror sound combined with a metalcore/industrial blend
2A Day to Remember

Interesting blend of pop punk/metalcore/post hardcore, huge discography and wide
variety, very good composition
3Of Mice and Men

Progressively improves with each album as far as composition and genre-branching,
heavy instrumentation and the occasional ballad, makes great use of sing/scream
duet vocals
4Bring Me The Horizon

Most obvious example of a band maturing from the depths of genericore and
immature "Br00tal" cliche, solid instrumentation and vocals, with wide variety and
broad appeal
5Parkway Drive

Extremely solid musicianship, tight instrumentation, able to pull off the heavier side
of metalcore successfully
6Crown the Empire

Very eclectic, atmospheric sound, good use of synth to set the atmosphere without
retreading the same old out of place electronica found in so many other bands
7The Plot in You

Very heavy, thick sound, angry atmosphere, this band is definitely not afraid to go
all out rage and doesnt fall victim to the faux-heaviness that plagues many of its
peers
8Like Moths to Flames

A tight band which is fairly similar to some other bands but manages to pull off the
sound so well they manage to stand head and shoulders above the others, their
vocals are filled with emotion and lack the same high pitched, refined pop sound of
others, their musicianship is solid and they set a straightforward atmosphere with
their sound
9Stick to Your Guns

This band has been around for quite some time, and have not broken into the
mainstream, this has served them well as they have developed their hardcore punk
sound and grown into a unique sounding group, largely unaffected by the trend to
be more pop oriented and radio friendly
10Underoath

THis band propelled the Christian Metalcore scene onto the main stage, blending
widely appealing heaviness and pioneering sing/scream vocal duets with an
unfolding message. Very good composition and heavy-hitting albums, regardless of
your religious beliefs Underoath proved to be a solid metalcore outfit
