| Top 10 Trophy Scars Songs (post-alphabets)
I like Alphabets a lot, and Hospital Music is cool too, I just need more time with
them before I rank them. Such a great band | 10 | | Trophy Scars Darkness, Oh Hell
Time In Heaven, Forever In Hell - As you will learn as this list develops, I am a sucker for
this band's prettier/ballad type songs. And this is no exception. "These pills won't help me
fall asleep". It's so good. | 9 | | Trophy Scars Never Born, Never Dead
Angels - I honestly didn't fall in love with this until recently. But the chorus, or the whole
song rather is just so...cute. Yep, cute. It's happy sounding and I love it. | 8 | | Trophy Scars Bad Luck
Bad Dreams - "Ben crossed the street just a little too late, so he's gone and I accept that it's
fate..." God, that part is huge. This intro is a great statement for the songs ahead of it. This
is the new Trophy Scars and it is a force to behold. | 7 | | Trophy Scars Holy Vacants
Everything Disappearing - First part of this song is wonderful and atmospheric, but once it hits
the 3 minute mark and those strings come in, it becomes one of the best things this band ever
crafted. That part til the end is an emotional ride that is the correct way to close an album as
magnificent as this. | 6 | | Trophy Scars Never Born, Never Dead
August, 1980 - The superior version of this song in my opinion, but of course both are
fantastic. This is just so beautiful and keeps building and building. It fits really well on the EP
too. | 5 | | Trophy Scars Bad Luck
Good Luck - An epic closer to a grand album. It goes all out and hearing "It'll take more than
bad luck just to kill me" is so damn powerful. | 4 | | Trophy Scars Never Born, Never Dead
Never Born - A fitting way to conclude this wonderful EP. It has a more unique structure than
the track preceding it with an excellent chorus. It ends in the same way that Never Dead did
which is amazing. Used to be my all time favorite by there's and rightfully so. | 3 | | Trophy Scars Holy Vacants
Chicago Typewriter/Vertigo - Quite possibly my favorite pairing of songs. It would be a crime
not to have one without the other, which is why they take up one spot. The bluesy delivery of
Chicago Typewriter along with the awesome guest vocals work wonderfully. The 2nd part of
that song builds up and then transitions fantastically into Vertigo which is short, straight-
forward, but a hell of a good time. I'm practically crying at the end of it because of how
beautiful it is. | 2 | | Trophy Scars Darkness, Oh Hell
Sad Stanley - This was 1 for the longest time, believe me. It's relentless. Every line of this
song just eats me up. "Don't you recognize what you put in your mouth is the same fucked up
shit everyday?" Gets me every single time. | 1 | | Trophy Scars Never Born, Never Dead
Never Dead - Come to think about it, this was the first song I heard by them. Took me a
while to get into it but it was worth the effort. I saw them play this live and it was one of the
most beautiful things to grace my ears. I saw them live the day before my grandmother
passed away and this was the first song I went to. I know I'm using it out of context but "I
love you so much more than forever, but now it's time for sleep" really resonated with me at
that time...This is flawless. | |

10.23.14 | Honorable mentions include Qeres, Gutted, Every City, Vacant, the rest of Holy Vacants while I'm at it, Nola, Darkness, and Nausea (so yeah, the rest of the post-Alphabets songs that aren't on the list). | ILJ
10.23.14 | dude
trazodone | Artuma
10.23.14 | 2 is 1 but never dead is my fave album. gd list | MattGandee
10.23.14 | Good list, though Toronto would be my personal #1. That song is just an amazing journey... Trophy Scars have a lot of songs that follow the "build-up in the first half, pay-off in the second half" structure, and while I love the band to death, this song never fails to satisfy me (particularly once the saxophone kicks in). And, of course, it's even better when put in context with Geneva and Nola (both of which are also incredible). | fallenbird
10.23.14 | Mine is...

10.23.14 | yeah Trazodone would be on my top ten, it rocks out so hard the second half. Time In Heaven, Forever In Hell might be my number 1. | Vader
10.23.14 | For me it's Bad Dreams all the way. Hands down their best song imo | Vader
10.23.14 | Also Bad Luck is better than Darkness and Never Born (but those are EPs, right?). I thought Never Born was kind of overrated | ti0n
10.23.14 | 1 is 1 and allways will be | guitarded_chuck
10.23.14 | nothing from alphabets | GreyShadow
