Exploding Head
Saw these guys live over the summer. So effin' loud man. Not the "densest" or bassiest thing I've ever seen, that probably goes to Boris or Melvins. My ears would be destroyed if I forgot earplugs, it was probably the only time I felt it really really really necessary to wear them at show that I've seen or played. I didn't listen to much of the new album, but they played a decent amount of stuff off of this and I've been digging it ever since. Wish I could see them with JAMC | | 3 |  | Mac DeMarco

My friend and I got to a scheduled show of his early to buy tickets about a week or 2 ago and they only had one ticket left. Since they only had 1 left, we didn't buy one. We figured we could just scalp for some after we got food and more people showed up. We ate at some Lebanese/Mediterranean joint and got back about 45 minutes later. We see people begging outside, and we start talking to a dude and we gave him our spiel about what we just did, and then the guy says, "DUDE. You guys left maybe a few minutes before Mac and his crew were walking down the street! He was letting anyone in on the guest list if you recognized him! Man, that sucks for you guys." An older friend of mine worships these guys. He traveled to Philly (I think?) to see them recently and loved it. He said I'd really enjoy them, and I've been playing this pretty frequently. This is great. I can't find a copy of it anywhere locally though. Glad Vince dropped this much material and waited long enough to get it right. Summertime is a beautiful track, fuck Fantano. | |

08.28.15 | "Deeper Into Movies", "The Lie and How We Told It", "Sugarcube", and the covers of "Little Honda" & "My Little Corner of the World" are my favorites off hand. The album spans sounds you can get from Dino Jr, Slowdive, Sonic Youth, and Pavement and mixes it together flawlessly | Nikolai
