Orgasmic moments in (metal) Music

List is a collection of those magical moments that make my spine tingle and my cock rise in appreciation. Obviously these are not everyone's cup of tea and some of them have lost their potency over time as expected but these tracks all did it for me at one point. While these are all proggy modern metal songs, Im keen to see what tracks - metal or otherwise - did it for you fellas or (if by some slim chance) ladies.
1Isis
So Did We

6:14 - End. Kickstarting the list is probably my favorite moment of my favorite song right now and has been for some time. That simple yet heavy as hell riffing combined with the dissonant post-metal guitar/synth creates one of the most - and i hate to use the word - epic crescendos i've ever had the pleasure of listening to. Several of their other tracks like 'In Fiction', 'Grinning Mouths', 'Carry' and 'Threshold of Transformation' are almost as powerful too. almost. As much as I love these guys you won't find me wearing their band t-shirt out and about anytime soon.
2Agalloch
Falling Snow

7:00 - End. I'll surely cop some flack for picking something other than 'In the Shadow of Our Pale companion' but as great as that track - and the vast majority of their tracks are - the final few minutes of 'Falling Snow' just resonate with me on a whole other level. It's almost nostalgic which is strange considering I only discovered the band a year or so ago - and has a strangely optimistic tone in comparison to the cold, somber atmosphere of the rest of the album (and their entire dicography for that matter).
3Misery Signals
Five Years

4:45 - End. One of the relative few acclaimed metalcore bands on this site - but they sure as hell deserve every bit of praise they receive. OMATMH and Controller are 2 of the pinnacles of the genre in this mans opinion - the former taking a fair while to grow on me with its schizophrenic time signatures and whatnot but eventually I came to appreciate it as the masterpiece it is. Perhaps no moment is more monumental than the emotional growls and soaring outro of 'Five Years'. I've probably listened to it at least 200 times over and I could just as easily listen to it 200 times again and still be blown away by it.
4Godspeed You! Black Emperor
East Hastings

8:24-12:00. While not metal in the slightest, In a list of crescendos you can bet your left testicle that Godspeed will pop up somewhere or rather. This build up has always reminded me of a train gaining speed. Starting with a quiet guitar and the faint humming from the group and eventually escalating both speed and volume wise into a chaotic climax - this is probably my favorite moment from the group. Made all the more powerful by the bareness of the track (and the whole album) surrounding it. The ending of 'The Dead Flag Blues' and certain moments off of Lift your skinny fists and their '99 offering with the unpronounceable title give this one a run for its money however.
5Darkest Hour
Vertias, Aequitas

0:00 - End. Who knew a metalcore band was capable of writting a 13 minute instrumental epic that was actively engaging throughout? Well i've always looked at these guys as being far more melodic death metal orientated than metalcore (save for the vocals) and during their years with Kris Norris they had some of the greatest instrumentation I've heard. 'Deliver Us' contains some of the most mind blowing guitar solo's i've heard to date and 'Undoing Ruin' isn't far behind, however the closing track off of their 2003 offering hits me in a way that none of their other stuff does. The entire track does it for me really but its the final few minutes, as is usually the case, that take the cake. Kris Norris does what he does best over a powerful riff, ending with a melancholic piano outro. Great way to end a great track. Even without Norris on the axe their newer track 'Terra Solaris' is pretty powerful stuff too.
6Between the Buried and Me
Selkies: The Endless Obsession

4:40 - End. Not the most original pick here I'll admit, but if there's a more beautiful solo out there then I'm yet to hear it. One of the most upbeat, optimistic riffs and leads i've ever heard and the feelings it conjures are almost unrivaled. Strongly reminds me of 'Soothsayer' by the KFC bucket sporting savant himself, but manages to outdo it in my opinion. Although 'Colours' is heralded as their best overall effort (and i agree), none of it can quite stand up to the final minutes of this song.
7The Contortionist
Flourish

1:53 - 4:50. Toss up between this and 'Oscillator' but this one just nips it. In stark comparison to the first and last minute of the track the melodic middle portion of this song is damn beautiful and continues to impress me almost as much as it did the first time I heard it (was a very pleasant surprise). These guys really found a potent mix of growling/chugging and ambient/post-metal sort of interludes on this album but have since abandoned it in favor of a completely ambient almost jazzy sound - which works but not quite to the same extend in my eyes. This album will remain their masterpiece for the time being and this track is one of the main reasons why.
8Converge
Jane Doe

8:57 - End. I never quite understood the circlejerk this site seems to have over this album. I've given this album a chance several times through and its never done much for me, or as much as it seems to for everybody else. The title track being the exception. An 11 and a half minute rollercoaster ride of emotions which slows down to a crawl before bursting into one of the most intense climaxes I've heard. Those powerful few minutes have helped me dig deep and push through many a workout. Much like Glass Caskets 'A grey AM' track which is one of the more moving songs you'll ever hear given the context and lyrics. Definitely looking for more stuff along these lines.
9If These Trees Could Talk
Barren Lands of the Modern Dinosaur

4:20 - End. One of the many instrumental post-metalish bands to pop up in the past decade, but thats no good reason to disregard them. They have a solid hold on the genre and style theyre aiming for and stand head and shoulders above many of their contemporaries on the back of songs like this one. I've got a soft sport for those high pitch post-metal notes and they run wild in this one. Chills every time.
10Sylosis
Oath of Silence

3:15 - End. Sylosis - you either love them or hate them. There seems to be no inbetween, at least not in these parts. I happen to belong to the former group who can see them as the brilliant and underrated musicians and songwriters that they truly are. They've got 4 great (melodic thrash metalcore?) albums under their belt yet they still don't receive half the attention that alot of their half-assed contemporaries seem to get. I've seen them referred to as being false thrash and unoriginal which i think is ridiculous. They never claimed to reinvent the wheel or revolutionize thrash metal, they are simply a group of talented musicians who are clearly influenced by thrash and have a penchant for writing melodic ballads that seamlessly blend several different genres to create compelling and powerful music. If it sounds like I'm sucking their dick its because I am. 'Edge of the Earth' and 'Monolith' are modern day masterpieces in my mind, as is this particular track. Thats a fact.
