09.28.15 | 12-14 were all really disappointing :/ | basikchanL
09.28.15 | new mark fell & okkyung lee.
havent heard it yet but ill bet money it's good. | wtferrothorn
09.28.15 | I felt like listening to 12 as if it were a pop album felt much more rewarding than treating it like a house release. Plus I loved 'Latch', so I honestly didn't mind getting more tracks like it. Especially if you've got Lorde on vocals :] | LotusFlower
09.28.15 | That's honestly where the album falls apart for me, tbh. As a house release, its incredibly shallow and Disclosure go on auto-pilot so they can lazily vessel whichever artist they featured on the album so it sounds lifeless.
As a pop release, the music itself isn't engaging enough to be fun (exception to certain tracks) because they feel really short or are just bland. Magnets is pretty legit tho. | JWT155
09.28.15 | 13 and 14 are both great. Dodge & Burn is arguably the most straight forward rock album of the year and I personally love the simplicity of it. Every Open Eye is catchy, and while it doesn't live up to it's predecessor, it can stand on it's own legs just fine. Empty Threat is my jam. Big Grams rules as well. | wtferrothorn
09.28.15 | @clover well I really don't listen to much house, so I guess my standards for my house music isn't as high as yours
@JWT I've never been able to get into CHVRCHES' brand of synth-pop. I gave their 1st record a listen and nothing really grabbed me; same thing with this new record | JWT155
09.28.15 | To each their own. Chvrches is essentially the Lauren Mayberry show, she either makes or breaks the band for you. | LotusFlower
09.28.15 | @WTF
I'm pretty easy going with music, house especially since I listen to a vast majority of EDM garbage :p but man that album just sounds so lifeless regardless save for a small handful of tracks. |
