Yeah, once again I feel like I can't keep up with all the cool releases and I listen to a bit from an album here and there instead of just immersing myself in one album. I want to get lost in a release, listen to it over and over again and falling in love with the sound completely. But instead I check tons of bands/artists that I really really like but never find the time of listening to completely and just going through their discography etc. Anyway, list is albums that came out recently that I like and want to spend more time on.
1Foxing
Dealer

This sounds freaking great, could possibly make it onto my top 10 AOTY if I just listen to it more.
2Grimes
Art Angels

What i've heard from it so far is really good. I like that it's poppier and less dark than her earlier stuff, because she doesn't come off as much as a tryhard that wants to sound quirky and weird for the sake of it.
The song Artangels sounds like Grimes raped Madonna in an alley somewhere though, not sure what I think of it. Belly Of The Beat and Kill vs. Maim are some good djamz though.
Also the demo version of Realiti was better.
3The Japanese House
Clean

Been waiting for this EP for awhile now. Really impressive and one of my favorite artists right now, people should stop sleeping on her. Produced by Matty and George from The 1975 as well.
Imagine a mixture between The 1975's more ambient poppy songs and Imogen Heap, and you're almost there.
4Kate Boy
One

Going to see them live in december. My friend introduced me to them since the guy who produces the music/is the instrumentalist in the band is from the same town as him. The singer is from Australia from what I know, and she has a pretty unique voice, and the dude is from Sweden. Anyway, this is electro-poppy goodness and it's released today.
5 ASTR
Homecoming

New EP from ASTR, sad to see that they weren't in the database. It's also electronic pop that's just uber-catchy. This is also released today, bought it from iTunes (because I couldn't find a download and i'm too impatient to wait.
6Autre Ne Veut
Age Of Transparency

I really dig his sound even though it can sound a bit tacky at times, but this album is one that I want to listen to more, but I never seem to just feel like i'm in the mood for it. But will definitely sit down with it someday.
It's something like R&B/Electronic/Pop/Weirdness.
7CHVRCHES
Every Open Eye

I really really like CHVRCHES, but I can't seem to get past the first 5-6 songs on this album, not because it's bad, but because I'm always like stressed out and i'm like "I SHOULD LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM TOO, AND THIS ONE, OH AND YEAH THAT ONE"... so yeah.
8Deafheaven
New Bermuda

Obligatory Deafheaven. No but really, I like this from what i've heard so far.
9Good Tiger
A Head Full Of Moonlight

Elliot Coleman (ex-Sky Eats Airplane, Zelliack, Tesseract vocalist)'s new band, they're pretty good as far as I can tell, I've always liked his voice, but he was definitely more suited for Zelliack's more smoove sound.
10Fightstar
Behind the Devil's Back

I really like this, even though they should change their name to Fighttones, or maybe Defstar would be cooler... No but you can hear the Deftones in this, but yeah. I need to check this out more.
11Icarus The Owl
Pilot Waves

This seems like their most coherent release, and they've scaled back a bit on the shreddy madness, which I think might work out in their favor. I have a hard time listening through an entire release with these guys though, but this one seems easier.
12The Neighbourhood
Wiped Out

This also seems to be pretty cool. Wasn't a fan of their debut album, something just struck me as... I dunno, i just didn't like any of their vocal melodies, the guitars, not much at all. But I really liked the vibes on their more R&B-y mixtape they released last year (or earlier this year maybe?) and this is like a perfect middle ground between the two and it sounds good.
13Nicole Dollanganger
Natural Born Losers

This album is also so cool. Her voice is amazingly sweet and the album cover is just so... completely wrong for the sound, you expect something completely different than what it is. But I guess that's also the point.
14Pentimento
I, No Longer

BRINGZ DEM FEELS. This album surprised me a bit. It's very straight-forward, but I like it. Sort of emo/pop-punk, but it lands somewhere between modern emo and more like... Taking Back Sunday-ish emo from time to time.
15 Polyenso
EP1

New EP from Polyenso. I think their album release was pushed back so much that they felt like they had to release something so people wouldn't rage. It's pretty good, but i've only listened to it once or twice. Kinda different from their first album.
16Rustie
EVENIFUDONTBELIEVE

I literally had no idea that he was releasing anything new, and I just saw that this had leaked yesterday or if it was the day before that, and I was mucho surprised!
17 Unquote
Address Unknown

New release from Unquote, who plays some really cool "microfunk" as they call it. To me it sounds like some mixture between Future Garage, Drum & Bass, Ambient and Dubstep. But yeah, let's call it microfunk. Or Ficromunk. Maybe Necrojunk.
18Beach Slang
The Things We Do to Find People Who Feel

I like dis. The vocalist has a pretty unique voice and the music reminds me a bit of The Lawrence Arms, a band I hold quite dear. A different vibe but i'm still reminded of TLA for some reason.
19Crooks
Are We All The Same Distance Apart

I'm trying to wrap my head around this one. I don't think I like this album even though I was sort of stoked at hearing it, but now... not so sure what I think.
20Helios
Yume

In my opinion, Helios' best album without a doubt. But I haven't really had the time to listen to it all the way through so many times, but 'Pearls' is such a beautiful song.
21Little Simz
A Curious Tale Of Trials + Persons

I discovered this just a couple of weeks ago since everybody here was talking about it, and I really like her stuff. Not sure if it was released in the last couple of months though, but it's new for me anyway.
22Lydia
Run Wild

One of my favorite bands, but I still don't feel like I have a proper grasp on this album yet, I just really dig the first track, catchy af.
23No Devotion
Permanence

YEZ. Who knew that it was a good thing that Ian Watkins tried to penetrate a 1-year old? This album is proof. Okay, i'm joking and I know i'm horrible. But this album is good, and Geoff Rickly > Ian Watkins any day of the year.
24Ellie Goulding
Delirium

Have only heard one or two tracks so far, and I don't know... i've always thought that Ellie had a very unique and cozy voice that just made her sound so... sensual. Or maybe that's the wrong word, but she sounds like the type of girl that you want to make love to and then let her sing you to sleep, YUP.
That uniqueness is kind of gone now though, I could barely hear that it was her on the few songs I heard from this album.
25Justin Bieber
Purpose

I'm very ashamed to say that i'm somewhat interested in hearing what this album will turn out to be. Some of the singles where actually very good and sounded a bit more mature than what I expected from him, but yeah, he's growing up, and as far as I can tell (haven't watched any live clips and not sure if he lip syncs live etc), he's actually a good singer even though he's a bratty little douchebag.

Also there are many other albums released throughout the year that I wish I had listened to more, but I can't be bothered to mention them right now.
