03.11.16 | First was Shiina Ringo - Shun. Life was terrifying at one point of my life and I was wondering what I was gonna do with my life, then I heard this and cried while I sat on the bed. Such beauty without knowing a single word, it was like someone put a blanket around me and said "It'll be all right".
Second was Dir en Grey - The Final crowd sung at DSS' Budokan Day 2. Seeing so many people singing that was so powerful and caught me off guard, favorite moment in music full stop.

11.03.16 | art of life, metallica - orion/to live is to die, alice in chains - nutshell, opeth - to bid you farewell, pantera - floods (the tender guitar work on this gets me even at a time when i no longer ever listen to this band), various works by beethoven specifically if that counts; lots of other stuff draws some tears out of me through some sort of jubilation just because i love music |
Flugmorph
11.03.16 | the biggest meltdown i ever had with music was with Nightwish - Imaginaerum around 2012.
i came from a fairly meh period of my life that started with me discovering that i had a tinnitus and barely listening to any music for the next year or smth. thats why i didnt noticed that nightwish (one of the few metal bands i knew at that time) had a new album out.
i remember driving home from a party early in the morning and listening to the album on headphones and the emotions just somehow overwelmed me. so basically i cried the whole time out of joy while listening to it and felt the music like i never felt it before (at least thats what it felt like for me at that point). |
Flugmorph
11.03.16 | after that i had a few tears of joy here and there, but i dont remember exactly what songs or even what bands. probably opeth lol |
FearThyEvil
11.03.16 | Barrow-Clawhold will always have the strongest connection I've ever had with my father who passed away when i was 10. |

11.03.16 | dont think I've ever full on cried to a song. I mean I've felt incredibly emotional at times but never actually shed a tear. Sad times |
FearThyEvil
11.03.16 | "the kingdom hearts start menu theme repeatedly because fucking nostalgia " this also is a big one since me and my dad had a huge connection with video games and he got me into games like kingdom hearts, twisted metal, medal of honor, gauntlet dark legacy (one of the best video game experiences I ever had) etc. |
Rik VII
11.03.16 | I'm a fucking softy when it comes to music man. gotta add some to the list I did back then.

Flugmorph
11.03.16 | also the first opening of FMA:B is pretty emotional for me |
Koris
11.03.16 | The Final Fantasy XIII soundtrack gets me really emotional. As flawed as the game is, the soundtrack is what made me get into composing in the first place. It's the most important soundtrack in my life, honestly, even though I do prefer the Shadow of the Colossus and Jade Cocoon OSTs |
zakalwe

Crymsonblaze
11.04.16 | pretty much JUST johnny cash's cover of hurt. there are many songs that can make me feel depressed or existential in some way, but hurt is the only one that can move me enough to make me physically cry.
although my "cry-o-meter" is pretty strange. only other media that has ever made me cry in my adult life: a couple episodes of Buffy (the body) and Angel (you're welcome and not fade away), the last ten minutes of LOST, the end of Interstellar, and... weirdly enough, Bicentennial Man |
Crymsonblaze
11.04.16 | oh shit. my gf and i watched the entire harry potter series over the past month to prepare for fantastic beasts and i teared up at the dobby scene in deathly hallows part 1 so maybe that one counts |

Emarosa - Porcelain
Brand New - Jesus Christ, Limousine, You Won't Know
frnkiero andthe cellabration - Guilttripping

I know some of these might be seen as trashy, but often I attatch songs to people, and when those people go, the songs become painful. |

01.12.19 | "And watching Nine inch nails perform Hurt, at the big day out in 2000, all the goths around me had mascara streaming from their eyes."
I'll have to admit that I go with the mainstream and get more feelz from Johnny Cash's cover |
SlothcoreSam
01.12.19 | The studio version of Hurt, is not as moving as seeing Trent Reznor, and his horde of fans, getting all emotional.
I agree that Johnny's cover hits you harder as a recorded song, than NIN though. |
