Shemson 04.05.16	The subgenre does get a bad rap, so much so that I haven't given it much of a chance. I really like it in old Opeth albums for example when they go into passages that I would describe as folk like but good vocals are important to me too. Who would you rec me and why?
DungeonBoy 04.05.16	Nice to see Empyrium, especially this album, since it's rarely mentioned here and most certainly contains some very folky black metal. For fun, upbeat folk, I can't recommend Equilibrium - Sagas enough. One of the most fun folk metal albums I've ever heard.

manosg 04.05.16	Amorphis - Tales From the Thousand Lakes has a fair amount of folk influences from Finland and is one of the most atmospheric albums out there. Villagers of Ioannina City - Riza is also a very interesting blend of stoner and Greek folk even though the Greek lyrics may deter some listeners.

They sort of do that style but something about the way they do it is just /different/ from your typical folk m/ band
Dizchu 04.05.16	I was tempted to make a much longer list but these five albums are just so solid and define everything I love about folk metal. Other recommended artists are Primordial, Saor, Panopticon, Orphaned Land, Aquilus, Wilderun and just for fun, Equilibrium (Sagas, Turis Fratyr and Erdentempel are a blast)
