It's some sort of pretentious attitude to believe that if you listen to harsh noise or black metal or grind or whatever it is than acts like converge are not extreme anymore. 99% of the people in the world, and music critics too, will consider converge's jane doe as extreme music and it undoubtably is since it has screamed vocals that are almost animal shrieks, influences from metal, hardcore and punk and a very abrasive quality. And if you believe otherwise it is just because you have been desensitized, but the music has not changed.

Some serious headbang material "it's not modern anymore" not by pure definition no, but the style is similar to the start of modern metalcore. It's pretty much the cream of the drop in the whole teencore scene.

magicuba 06.07.16	I am glad you liked the recs, unfortunately most of what the devil wears prada put out is scene-core so I would not recommend it at all, but zombie is very nice in its little horror concept-ep, and stands out if you forget the debatable past of the band. I also really suggest you go back on converge if you change your mind about them
