Been moving over more to thrash than death recently. Top ten in terms of personal enjoyement

Alice in Hell

Mercyful Fate meets maiden meets thrash. Another of the albums where the writing is more impressive than the riffs. Lots of variation as well. Best song: Wicked Mystic

So awesome. Song writing is unbelievably good and the amount of genre variation is seldom seen in metal. Best Song : Magic Dragon

Desecrator > cowboys from hell. And srsly the tragic period might be the best thrash song ever made. And the production is second only 2 epidemic imo

Rust in Peace

Yeah it almost perfect sure but it really doesnt thrash particularly hard. Sure the leads and riffs are hard af but theres just as many non thrash groovy/heavy metal riffs that put it a bit down the list in terms of thrash albums.

yeah shutup. The second half is literally perfect. And Collapse finally dethroned One as THE thrash ballad, maybe Prisoners of fate deserves a shout but yeah if this wasnt brickwalled to shit it might be a 5
Best song: Cant choose between collapse or recharging

Along with epidemic and rust, prob one of the best written metal albums full stop. THere is no real rhyme or reason to think this, employing every different thrash technique from kreator like aggression weird proggy passages. A real adventure to listen to

Hypnotized is life. But the writing here is really unbelievable. Vocals took a while to grow on me but this is just true as balls thrash

Honestly, it may not be the catchiest album ever, but every time you think "was it really that good, cause i cant remember too much" you listen to it and realise fuckn oath it is.
Best song: Still Black. But honestly choosing sucks ass

Prob best thrash production ever. Especially the drums. Even though they keep it really simple, they avoid doing a bolt thrower and feeling repetitive cause idk they have special powers
