| Hush (horror movie)
Watched Hush the other night. Has anyone else seen it? Thoughts? I remember hearing some buzz about it when it first came out but brushed it off because I usually find the 'home invasion' variety of horror movies to be boring and repetitive. Going into Hush with that bias, I was actually quite satisfied with this one. I wouldn't really say I was scared at all throughout but it was suspenseful and kept me interested. At first I thought the deaf handicap aspect was going to be gimmicky but I think it was used well and added made for an interesting twist of sorts. List are some other horror movies I want to see/revisit soon. | 1 | | Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds Skeleton Tree
Lights Out | 2 | | Zhrine Unortheta
Kairo (Pulse) | 3 | | Bjork Homogenic
Yamishi Bai (Theatre of Darkness) - Japanese TV show I highly recommend. | 4 | | Damaar Triumph Through Spears Of Sacrilege
Martyrs | |

09.14.16 | Hush Wasn't bad. I was disappointed with Lights Out, though. | heck
09.14.16 | watched Hush a few weeks ago, it was excellent. I'll never look at Emmett from 10 Cloverfield Lane the same way again. | CaimanJesus
09.14.16 | I really liked it. Saw it on netflix a few months back, Very suspenseful | timebetweentrains
09.14.16 | Damn, didn't realize at all that was the same actor.
Also, 10 Cloverfield Lane was awesome | DarkSideOfLucca
09.14.16 | It was good while I was watching it, but I see no reason to really watch it again. | Gameofmetal
09.14.16 | yea i liked it | Sevengill
09.14.16 | The Shallows, The Witch, Lights Out, and Don't Breathe have made this a great year for horror. 10 Cloverfield is more thriller but I'd throw it in the mix too. | SCREAM!
09.14.16 | Hush was cool. Not great but did a decent job of a typical sort of setting.
I went into Lights Out expecting it to be pretty shit but I was very pleasantly surprised. Very tense atmosphere throughout the movie that makes up for it's (somewhat) lack of originality. | Sevengill
09.14.16 | I'm just glad they played the ending straight-up. Satisfying with no dumb twists or deus-ex-machina "we ran out of ideas/funding" moments. |
