Got some pre-orders floating about, but I'll stick with the random crap acquired after the last installment. More importantly: What stuff have you folks snagged lately? Any other good pre-orders up (Besides Super Unison, Planes Mistaken For Stars, and American Football). |
1 | | Hot Cross Cryonics
Opaque Blue Marbled. Alright, so this isn't a typo - literally a week after I snagged that black copy of "Cryonics" a colored wax copy hit the shelves. Luckily, I have a friend that wants to trade for said copy. Billy Werner and screams. |
2 | | Hot Cross/Light The Fuse And Run Hot Cross/Light The Fuse And Run
Trans. Red. It was a Hot Cross bonanza towards the end of last month. Both sides are solid, but HC slays as always. |
3 | | Mara'akate Mara'akate / Fable
Black. Mara'akate reminds me of a screamo version of Unbroken. It isn't dissimilar from the likes of Jerome's Dream and Afterlife Kids. |
4 | | Mara'akate Mara'Akate
Black. Very niiiice. Screams, breakdowns, as adminstered in the early aughts. |
5 | | The Assistant The Assistant
Black. Quirky Jersey screamo with folks from You and I. Keys added in random places, but still delightfully good rootsy screamo. I believe the singer went on to form Wrong Day To Quit, which was pretty rad as well. |
6 | | Palatka Palatka / The End of The Century Party
Black. Crazy screamy split that embodies the dread screamsy churning I love of screamo roots. I think Allison Mosshart used to sing in this group/collective/drama club. |
7 | | Swing Kids Swing Kids
Black. Hopefully, this is the actual self-titled EP. Spastic hardcore from ex-members of Struggle. They're screamo in my book. |
8 | | Swing Kids Discography
Black. This is actually the ten inch split with Spanakorzo. It's a shame they weren't around longer. |
9 | | Death of Lovers Buried Under A World Of Roses
Opaque Green/Blue/Yellow. It's basically Nothing playing mopey post-punk with synths. |
10 | | Yndi Halda Under Summer
Opaque White/Grey. Post-Rock from the UK that leans on the clean and sparkly side. |
11 | | Dillinger Four Situationist Comedy
Black. Probably my favourite active pop-punk band. |
