5 great bands from Argentina

This site has ZERO bands from Argentina in reviews (aside from Soda Stereo) but here it is my top bands from my country worth to give it a listen.

Los Natas

The Argentine equivalent to Kyuss; but they were more of an instrumental band rather than with traditional vocals. A pity they broke up

Divididos

The most important funk rock band from ourr country. The band born after the break-up of the famous 80's post-punk band Sumo. the name was taken from a phrase Sumo's lead singer Luca prodan said after being asked if the band was breaking up: "Sumo, divididos? las pelotas!" (translated: Sumo, divided? My balls!") Another band with the rhythm guitarrist of Sumo formed the band "Las pelotas" as well.

Catupecu Machu

One of the most relevant alternative rock bands from our generation. The name of the band comes from an improvised answer the bassist of the band answer in a geography lesson triying to mention an animal originary from Africa. They started as a primus esque band but they became more associated to the industrial rock with their last albums.

Massacre (palestina)

Not to be confused with the death metal band of the same name. They are considered the pioneers of the skate rock in our country. In their first album they used to be called Massacre Palestina but after the attacks of the Israel's embassy, they decided to drop out Palestina. Throughout the 90's they were an underground band, hitting the mainstream in early 00's

Santos Inocentes

The band was formed in the late 90's. The lead guitarrist of the band being the son of soda stereo's drummer Charly Alberti. They became partially popular because of MTV but after the second album they disbanded. It was the Argentine answer to Filter

dreamgazing 12.21.16	ive only listened to soda stereo but its not even on the list haha. every once in a while i think about ceratis death and it really fucks me up, grew up in venzuela and with ceratis and soda stereos music.
