| Looking Ahead: A Maniacal Journey
Now that 2016 is as dead as all of the celebrities it killed, it's a good time to look forward to what's to come. But first, a little self-reflection: I've been around Sput off and on for about 8 years now and this community and music I've found because of it has been inextricably entwined with my life. Sputnik was my "escape" during my high school years, but seemed to stick with me through all of my major life events: graduation, enlisting in the navy, getting married, my first tour, etc. The people and music I've found here have been the soundtrack to my life, as fucking lame as that may be, and even though there have been "better" options to find new music, I've never quite left this place. I suppose I never will at this point, so keep the good recs coming because you're going to continue being the background music throughout my days. 2017 is poised to be another interesting year for me. I’ve just gotten orders to go live in Bahrain for 2 years before coming back to the states as a normal person again. During the next couple years I am bound to have more life/perception-changing events and it is exciting/nerve-wracking. So instead of dwelling on the negativity of 2016 I am going to be anticipating the positive things to come in the following year. | | 1 |  | Have a Nice Life
