New Stuff

some new discoveries, some reviews in progress
1Mogwai
The Hawk Is Howling

Didn't enjoy it much at first but now I see its awesomeness. Slowly creeping up my best of Mogwai list, probably equal third with Mr. Beast. Want to review this one but don't know if I'm up to the task of a Mogwai review.
2 Talkdemonic
All Eyes Half Mast

Lush, tranquil orchestral rock with a tinge of electronica. Really good stuff, will be checking out their other work.
3 Pivot
O Soundtrack My Heart

Really interesting electronica from Australia that's hard to describe. Hopefully my review will do just that.
4Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Slow Riot For New Zero Kanada

Another fine Godspeed release. Needs more time to sink in, but first few listens show more greatness.
5Converge
Jane Doe

Yes, I only heard this for the first time today. No, I don't have an opinion on it yet.
6The Flashbulb
Soundtrack to a Vacant Life

Just awesome. Why it took me so long to get this I don't know.
7The Tallest Man on Earth
Shallow Graves

Difficult to talk about without mentioning Dylan, so there, Bob fucking Dylan. Rickety folk songs which beam nostalgia, sung with the sort of voice you'll sink into like quicksand. You can struggle all you like but it will just pull you in further.
8 NATSUMEN
NEVER WEAR OUT yOUR SUMMER xxx !!!

Jazzy, spastic post rock with a violently but gloriously capricious nature. Really fun, addictive album. Review in progress.
