Mental radio
Hectic day at work today (I work at a coffee shop) + multiple caffeine?/sugar rushes (coffee is free for employees) = a crap ton of music flowing through my head at various points throughout the day. It was a stream flowing practically uninterrupted, as if my brain (third ear?) was some sort of mental XM station. These are tunes/albums that my... erm, "mental radio," you could call it... was playing at work today. |

Pretty certain that every song on this album was running through my head at some point today. Spun this for the first time in ages last night and it felt real good, better album than I remembered. Has likely their best song in "Overfloater" and even relatively weak tracks generally have little subtleties that spice them up (such as the piano undercurrent beneath the chorus of "Never Named"). |

Considering that LP's previous two albums were nu-metal brothers, pulling off a song of the likes of "The Little Things Give You Away" required balls and skill. |
