CD Rant

I still prefer CDs to downloads. I like to have a hard CD copy of everything which I will then download to my iPod. Nowadays, a lot of CDs are being issued in cardboard slipcases, which is fine -- the artwork isn't as crisp, but storage is easier. But for the CDs that are still sold in jewel cases, who ever thought it was a good idea to put those stupid stickers on at the top of the jewel cases? They're a pain in the ass to get off! Whoever came up with the idea needs to be bludgeoned to near death and left half dead in the town square where the crows can eat their entrails. (Pause). OK, I feel way better now, how about you? Recs are my latest care package from Amazon.

Novum

Yeah, I know I reviewed the album already, but that was from listening on Spotify. Finally received my hard copy today.

I'm betting I like this one better than most of you did. Their last EP was decent.

How Will You Know If You Never Try

Loved their last one. Hoping to love this one too.
4The Cranberries
Something Else

Kind of disappointed that this isn't an entirely new album, just a bunch of acoustic reworkings, but I'll take what I can get.
5Juliana Hatfield
Pussycat

Her last album with The Juliana Hatfield Three two years ago was pretty decent, even though hardly anybody on this site has listened to it.
6Leslie Mendelson
Love & Murder

She used to be a local Long Island gal, although I think she lives in L.A. now., so I figured I'd show her some love. If I like the album, maybe I'll even review it.
7Rainer Maria
Look Now Look Again

A New York band I always wanted to check out. So now I can.
