| The Dillinger Escape Plan - Ranked
Saw these guys play one of their final Melbourne shows last night and it was absolute chaos. So glad they're going out on such a high note. List is studio albums ranked, with some favourite tracks for each. | 1 | | The Dillinger Escape Plan Miss Machine
Probably their most consistent release and I really dug when Dillinger sounded a little underproduced. It's not spit-polish clean and yet still home to some of their most melodic chorus work, which Dillinger has proved to be very adept at: Highway Robbery, Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants, Unretrofied. | 2 | | The Dillinger Escape Plan Dissociation
This has grown on me a lot since release, and I think is a perfect final album for them to go out on. It's probably the most musically varied record from them, but somehow doesn't sound forced or overstuffed to my ears: Symptom Of Terminal Illness, Nothing To Forget, Dissociation. | 3 | | The Dillinger Escape Plan Option Paralysis
This was my favourite record of theirs for a while, and is home to some of my favourite Dillinger tracks but doesn't have as much lasting value as I remember it having - opting instead for unrelenting heaviness, which can make it sound a touch homogenous: Gold Teeth On A Bum, Widower, Parasitic Twins. | 4 | | The Dillinger Escape Plan Calculating Infinity
A little rough around the edges by now but absolutely killed at the time of release and still a very unique record to listen to: Sugar Coated Sour, 43% Burnt, Weekend Sex Change. | 5 | | The Dillinger Escape Plan One of Us Is the Killer
Dillinger being Dillinger. Another great release but personally felt a little too much like they were treading water: When I Lost My Bet, One Of Us Is The Killer, Nothing's Funny. | 6 | | The Dillinger Escape Plan Ire Works
Solid album, but a little too much filler for my liking. Some of the band's best songs on here though: Black Bubblegum, Milk Lizard, Horse Hunter. | |

10.20.17 | I feel like I never see rankings duplicated, they're always different. To me that's a testament to how great their whole discog is. I need to jam Miss Machine more since I have them pretty low on my ranking at the moment. | Artuma

i think that's more of a testament to them being super versatile and different strokes for different folks | Demon of the Fall
10.20.17 | Most wrong DEP list ever... 3, 4 & 6 are their best. 2 & 5 worst. 1 in between. | HarryBoBerry
