34 | | Turnover Good Nature
A massive disappointment after the perfect Peripheral Vision. Surprisingly though, this album has grown on me quite a bit. The choruses might not be immediate, but all songs are definitely pleasant to listen to with Living Small and Curiosity being slow burn-catchy. If that makes any sense.

23 | | As It Is Okay
This is actually a really good pop punk record. Despite some standard songs at the start and end of this album, the middle section is quite brilliant. Songs like 'Austen' and 'Soap' show the band's heavier side and it pays off well.

"Falling Ashes" |
11 | | A Will Away Here Again
Here Again is subtly unique. At its core this is a standard indie rock/ppp punk record, yet it's the small bits of experimentation that make this album great. The twinkly mathrock in Agoraphobia or the oddly structured Pay Raise are some examples. Besides this, the lyrics to Well Adjusted are deeply relatable.

"Do Not Let Your Spirit Wane" |
3 | | Fleet Foxes Crack-Up
Possibly my favourite Fleet Foxes album since it takes the brilliant Foxes-formula and makes it way more complex than it needs to be. I love that.

2 | | Brand New Science Fiction
Pieces of shit shouldn't be allowed to have musical talent.

1 | | Hundredth Rare
Not a very obvious pick for an AOTY, but there is nothing I don't love about Rare. It takes the shoegaze genre and shakes it up with intense drumming, rewarding build-ups and gorgeous melodies.
9.3/10
