foxblood

Drifter
04.20.18 | The Game - The Documentary 2 / 2.5 |
budgie
04.20.18 | night flowers - wild nothing |
foxblood
04.20.18 | it's all good bloon. drifter read the rules dude, has to be from 2017 or 2018, sorry! maybe I'll still check those someday still |
Drifter
04.20.18 | I never read rules thoroughly I just skim and then rec. Lemme think rq |
Frivolous

budgie
04.20.18 | i'm also just going to try and add a second one that i've been spinning nonstop, molly burch - please be mine |
Drifter
04.20.18 | You might like Snoop Dogg's Neva Left from last year. Has one of his top 10 songs and one of the greatest g funk songs I've ever heard "420 (Blaze Up)" |
foxblood
04.20.18 | yeah I already knew that drift lol. ehh sorry to be too picky but you got anything else? idk if I really want to do that haha. |
foxblood
04.20.18 | added the other stuff:) |
foxblood
04.20.18 | np cool looks pretty good. |
foxblood
04.20.18 | listening to Molly Burch now, does she just do the singing or does she play any of the instruments as well?
nvm, says on discogs that she does rhythm guitar, that's cool. |
budgie
04.20.18 | strums while she sings, someone else does the lead playing |
foxblood
04.20.18 | digging it so far which is good, stuff like this can be hit or miss for me |
Drifter
04.20.18 | Yeah I just took a shower and realized you prob wouldn't dig it all. Check these songs and move on honestly.

04.20.18 | autechre - NTS session 3
not in the database yet but you can stream it on a 2 hour loop for the next week at https://www.nts.live/projects/autechre-nts-residency/ |
foxblood
04.20.18 | yeah I'll check those snoop songs tomorrow.
wew, I have not listened to Autechre since Quaristice. I'm not a huge Autechre fan but I did really like that album so I'll give it a chance. that one will definitely be the toughest on me, listening to Autechre is like doing math homework lol. |
Drifter
04.20.18 | Sweet lemme know what you think when you get around to them |
brainmelter
04.20.18 | Ak'chamel the Giver of Illness - Death Chants from 2017 |
Avagantamos
04.20.18 | it managed to remain engaging for me all the way through, even the 20+ minute tracks. if you dug the futuristic mechanical vibe of quaristice then you will probably find at least parts of session 3 very enjoyable. Personally, I've found that the best way to enjoy their newer output is to pick and choose favorite tracks for a playlist. |
TheSonomaDude
04.20.18 | i'm bad about new music too man lmao
for something that's not even a week old, check Konstriktor - Konstrikt Or Die! be careful, it's a bit...uh, metal... |
Sinternet
04.20.18 | los campesinos - sick scenes |
foxblood
04.20.18 | okay, it will be interesting to catch up on new Autechre stuff.
added Ak'chamel and Konstriktor, they look good |
foxblood
04.20.18 | lol I haven't listened to Los Campesinos since their first album in 2008, it's been 10 years holy shit. guess I might as well, can't guarantee I'll love it as much as you but hopefully it doesn't suck |
mortifierftw
04.20.18 | Kindo- Happy However After |
foxblood
04.20.18 | added, 3 spots left |
GreyShadow
04.20.18 | Icarus The Owl - self-titled |
foxblood
04.20.18 | that album is from 2014, I'm trying to just listen to stuff just from 2018 and 2017. should I check their album from 2017, Rearm Circuits? |
Chortles
04.20.18 | laurel halo - dust. from last yeaar |
foxblood
04.20.18 | cool, haven't checked on laurel halo since the first album |
DungeonBoy
04.20.18 | Hey bud, not sure what your thoughts on neofolk/dark folk are but the new Sangre De Meurdago album might be the best thing I've heard this year:
https://sangredemuerdago.bandcamp.com/ |
Atari
04.20.18 | I came here to recommend what dungeon rec'd, so yeah. based on your ratings you'll potentially dig it! |
foxblood
04.20.18 | ha okay great, looks interesting. thanks guys |
foxblood
04.20.18 | updated with molly burch. could definitely grow to a 4 if it sticks with me. that's really fucking good for that genre, a lot of stuff like that can drive me up the wall but please be mine doesn't irritate me at all which is refreshing. |
budgie
04.20.18 | nice write up man! it did grow hard on me pretty quickly. |
dbizzles
04.20.18 | If you're still taking recs, check out Artificial Brain.
Modern DM and one of the more impressive new bands imo- you can jam the debut or last year's follow-up, which was my AOTY. They are fairly similar in sound, but sput seems split on which one is better.
For fans of Gorguts, Ulcerate, aliens and space. |
foxblood
04.20.18 | alright nice, Artificial Brain takes the final spot!
updated night flowers as well. I like it, def dig Molly more so that'll likely become a 4. night flowers are really nice but missing something extra that I can't put my finger on, they seem to play it a little safe. |
foxblood
04.20.18 | on track one of the Artificial Brain album and I can already tell this will be one of my favs |
dbizzles
04.20.18 | Dope. Enjoy. Shit fucking rules through and through. |
foxblood
04.20.18 | ooh yeah it's fucking amazing, thank you |
foxblood
04.20.18 | royal jelly was great. very wet and gurgly, last track is appropriate for today's weather. |
Beautiful
04.20.18 | Ohh great description! I agree with what you said |
foxblood
04.20.18 | thanks. I listened to Worker too, it's just as good but the ambient stuff is just mixed in there, there isn't one long ambient track |
BlazinBlitzer
04.20.18 | My top albums last year were...
1. Grails – Chalice Hymnal
2. Brand New – Science Fiction
3. The National – Sleep Well Beast
4. Blood Command – Cult Drugs
5. Motorpsycho – The Tower
So just pick which ever ones you haven't listened to/want to listen to out of that lineup. No one's even come close to the guys above in 2018, though, so no rec's from this year so far. |
foxblood
04.20.18 | added 12. thanks I'll check some of those out at some point blazin |
Drifter
04.20.18 | Did you jam those songs for your friend drifter? |
foxblood
04.20.18 | 420 is okay not what I expected in a good way. toss it is meh, not that interesting but not bad. lavender is kinda dumb and the video is stupid, I already knew that one. promise you this is my fav of those four, it's the most straight forward. not bad overall but still somewhat low energy |
Drifter
04.21.18 | Understandable. Thanks for listening! |
Drifter
04.21.18 | 420 has such a god-awful title. It would've been better if it was just called Blaze Up or something. I need to listen to Devin the Dude's stuff already |
foxblood
04.21.18 | yeah it's trying too hard to be anthemic with that title, doesn't sound like an anthem. tbh it's not really even a dank smoking beat |
Drifter
04.21.18 | Yeah I agree. I still love it though. That talk box is 😍😍😍😍😍
It actually sounds like something off of Doggumentary which wouldn't be surprising if it was left over given that apparently all the swizz beats songs from Coolaid were also held from Doggumentary for 5 years. I love Doggumentary so I'm ok with it. |
AsleepInTheBack
04.21.18 | Angelo De Augustine - Swim Inside the Moon (2017)
Immediately enjoyable, but it only really worms its way into you after a bunch of listens.
|
foxblood
04.27.18 | Kiko Dinucci was really cool, a lot of users would like it I think |
