| REC Me Some Stoner Rock
As anyone that has checked out my list "Best of Kyuss and Beyond" can attest, I dig some Kyuss, early QOTSA, Brant Bjork/Che, Mondo Generator, and especially John Garcia's various projects (e.g., Slo Burn, Unida, Hermano, Vista Chino, John Garcia (solo), Zun). I also am a pretty big fan of the following five bands. Please REC me some Stoner Rock that is roughly in the vein of Kyuss and offshoots, and the bands below. Excited to expand my playlist!! | 1 | | Fu Manchu In Search Of...
Just one of many great albums (e.g, The Action is Go, Eatin' Dust/Godzilla, King of the Road, California Crossing) | 2 | | Masters of Reality Masters of Reality
Their first album and one of their best. Also dig Welcome to the Western Lodge and Deep in the Hole. | 3 | | Monster Magnet Dopes to Infinity
Great albums, but they often bleed into one. Dig most of what they have done. | 4 | | Dozer Call It Conspiracy
Followed in Kyuss' footsteps with their first EP, In the Tail of the Comet, and Madre De Dios, until they found their own sound on this album. | 5 | | Truckfighters Gravity X | |

08.02.18 | Incredible Recs so far! Haven't listened to them all yet, but here are some that were excellent. Los Natas - Delmar was the closest to the original Kyuss sound and a great listen throughout. I also dug: We Hunt Bufallo - Living Ghosts; Sasquatch - Maneuvers; ASG - Blood Drive; Goatsnake - 1 + Dog Days and Flower of Disease; Red Fang - Murder the Mountains; and Karma to Burn - Arch Stanton. I have heard Supafuzz before, given the link to Hermano, and am a fan of their first two albums. | rabidfish

08.03.18 | Lo-Pan - Salvador | JDubb
08.09.18 | I hate to say it...I have become a bit entrenched in Elder - Reflections of a Floating World. This album is truly beyond categorization. I hear some stoner metal within, but also a heavy dose of progressive rock and metal. Elder's album Lore is equally as awesome. I also listened to both Gozu and Lo-Pan, and dug both those bands. Still have a few more to listen to... | JS19
08.09.18 | don't forget to check a Beastwars album dude - you won't regret | CugnoBrasso
08.09.18 | Samsara Blues Experiment, the album with the green cover. | JDubb
08.10.18 | Listened to almost all of them. A lot of great recs! And honestly, not many that I did not dig. Of the later group, I have to say I dug DVNE - Asheran the most. |
