Thangs I Need

Fairly self-explanatory, list is albums I gots ta get my mitts on soon (along with a few already in transit).
1mewithoutYou
[Untitled]

Pre-ordered that nifty fancy-dancy bundle, but need to quit stalling and just download the thing already. The companion EP was a definite grower, heavy on the atmospheric and acoustic leanings, and this seems like a deft counterpoint and -part, full of aggression and intensity unheard outside of small doses through the back-half of the band's output. Hyped.
2Coheed and Cambria
Vaxis - Act I: The Unheavenly Creatures

Ditto on pre-order and the need to download. On the plus side, after a looooong week at work, my Friday night is booked by these and a bottle of Jefferson's Reserve whiskey. Should be good times.
3Cursive
Vitriola

Unjustly overshadowed, in my opinion, by other recent releases in the same or similar genres (see: 1 and sorta 2, alongside Thrice's latest letdown--ugh, such hopes!), but I'm just as excited by Kasher's return to his longest-running and most intriguingly evolving project.
4Tides of Man
Every Nothing

Excited for this, as well; not widely available, which is a shame, but talk about killer second acts. Band may be even better instrumental than they were with Tilian (whom I will defend to the ends of the earth, or at least until the Jefferson's sets in and I get too sleepy).
5Future Usses
The Existential Haunting

Needs more attention around these parts, pre-release song was some damned dynamic post-metal.
6Fantastic Negrito
Please Don't Be Dead

Saw this guy play live (and for free!) at a local festival, and yowza, I was floored. A pretty commanding stage presence, coupled with a great soulful/funky blues (or bluesy/funky soul?) bedrock tinged with indie and at times almost punk gemstones. His debut album was great, don't expect this to disappoint.
7Movements
Feel Something

Slept on these guys, as a buddy has persistently recommended them for better part of the past year, and I finally got around to giving them a listen. Saddens me to say, my friends was absolutely right, and I mean to snag the album soon.
8Basement
Beside Myself

Not expecting a return to Colourmeinkindness-era form, necessarily, but the early singles--especially "Disconnect"--seem to mark this as a significant step up from the watered-down Jimmy Eat World sounds of Promise Everything.
9Horrendous
Idol

In complete honesty, what first drew me to this was the album art, but yowza, the couple songs I've heard so far definitely live up to that (admittedly still top-tier) attraction.
10Silent Planet
When The End Began

I find myself slowly but surely drifting away from metalcore as a whole (if that's even what this is--please don't hit me until I've had my Jefferson's), but Silent Planet is one of the handful of bands I still find myself returning to and being pleased with, album in and album out.
11Tim Hecker
Konoyo

A confessedly superficial connection, but this album is primarily back on my radar after really diving deep into Nils Frahm's All Melody, which in my estimation, has only gotten better and better in the months subsequent to its release. Still, some variety never hurts, and Hecker occupies a somewhat similar space of gloriously elegant composition, even if the specific instrumentation and texture ends up worlds away from seeming contemporaries.
12Red Vox
Another Light

Actually just discovered these folks yesterday, courtesy of a list and new item on this very site. New song is really impactful, so much so that I'm adding this to my scope-out list next time I hit the record shop.
13The Joy Formidable
AAARTH

I'd honestly just about forgotten about this band, but from the sound of things, it's high time to climb back aboard.
14All Get Out
No Bouquet

Snuck up on me, but any new All Get Out is welcome All Get Out, as far as I'm concerned. Plus, will fill that Manchester Orchestra-sized hole in my listening schedule for the next several months, until I can and start blasting Black Mile on repeat. Again.
