Damn Drake usually sucks, but this is somehow worse than his typical schlock. My brain is tuning this out like it does most generic pop, yeah. Can we cancel Drake? Wasn't he being creepy with minors once. 1.5/5 "Dance This Mess Around" This is much slower than all of the hits I know by them, hmmmm. The children's toy piano in the background is kinda of annoying actually, but the vocals and organ are cool. This is overall good, but it's no "Private Idaho", "Party Out of Bonds", or "Rock Lobster" that's for sure. 3.5/5

For me, Spice Girls/American Idol/Britney were the dividing line for when we went from focusing mostly on artists who created and largely controlled their own music to when we went back to the way it was before the '60s musical revolution, where artists were largely made and controlled by the record companies. I dislike her more as a symbol of that change than I do for herself. (I don't remember if I said it earlier, but I used to write a column called "Life Beyond Britney".) I felt sorry for her when she had her breakdown and it seemed like the press was trying to taunt her into suicide -- I thought South Park got the whole ritual sacrifice thing exactly right.

Why is this 7 minutes, though? 2.3/5 "Passion Fruit" Autotune over a bad "lo-fi hip hop" beat "to study to." This is the modern zeitgeist folks. I suppose I'd hate it more if it were the Drake version though. Why does this 4 minute song feel like it's 10 minutes? 2/5 "Toxic" Spears always had such a strange voice, but the spy theme backup music is cool. This is okay, but Kylie's "I Can't You Out of My Head" is so much better and has the same ghost writer: Cathy Dennis. 3/5 "Watch the Sky" Pop punk with piano, okay. At least the band name is honest. This is not for me, ut I guess I don't find it torture. 2.8/5 "Get You" This is K-Pop alright. Weird how this has no consistent members. So I guess it's more like a company than a group. Can a group like that even "break up" or am I missing something? This is bland as all hell. -.1 for the remid squeaking. 2.4/5 "I Will Come For You" What am I in an 80s montage? The orchestra was unexpected and made this slightly less lame, I suppose. Back to the lamer part. At least the vocals are guttural growls. This sucks though. 2.3/5 "Heaven is a Place on Earthl" This song is so lame, that it's like a 80s fever dream. WAIT, this is the girl from The Go-Gos? I never knew that. She doesn't have just one signature aesthetic and she doesn't conceal her identity. Their music is nothing alike beyond being vaguely electronic, which isn't even always the case for gaga. And Lady Gaga actually sings while i'm not sure Myss Keta even CAN sing. She literally just talks. Might as well call Myss Keta the italian Slipknot tbh

The song builds some nice hype for the biggest e-sports tournament in existence, but yeah it's corny af. I don't care, I love it.

ArsMoriendi 09.30.20	"Love They Say" I actually like the percussion and atmosphere here. Like the musical direction is actually pretty and engagng in a surprising way. 3.9/5 "Wreak Havoc" Sounds like Nine Inch Nails so far musically. Really fun actually. Now it's gotten more metal, but not too heavy. Would I ever explore this artist further? No, but this is better than most of the heavy stuff you guys pick. 3.6/5 "Come on Eileen" Yeah the violin here rules yeah. His voice was always kinda funny to me. The ending honestly is super fun and I forgot about that part. Picking this song is like cheating. 4/5
