There was a period where I exclusively listen to Monstercat label release. Basically an edm junkyard that has some cool tracks. This particularly stands out as the best to me. Something about this DnB tracks that hits mr differently. Like, wtf is this drum pattern? Well, everything's different after all.
I remember The first time I'm listening to this album and found a jazzy intro section which caught me off guard. Then blackgaze guitar tone seeps in out of nowhere. Then it just goes ballistic towards the end. Waow
"I can see you're struggling boy don't hurt your brain." When your relationship is going wrong, you can find at least 1 Banks' song that you might be able to relate to.
Shoegaze + Alt-rock infusion that goes really loud. The last segment of B&E that goes 'whreeeeeeee' and 'whoooooooow' so loudly is probably one of my favorite moments in music.
11 minutes of epic folk tales presented by mere classical guitar and masterful vocal. Is it a tale at all? I don't even know. It's just that every time I listen to this, I feel like getting carried away into a distant place.
Any list including ERR, Chelsea Wolfe and Anna Von Hausswolff is automatically a 10/10. Also props for Palehorse/Palerider! Astronoid's "Obsolete" and J. Hvals "Portrait..." are also my favorite track of them.
Uneven Compromise is fucking incredible yeah
that last section is comfortably in my top 5 favourite hip-hop bits, if i was ever to create such a monstrosity
I was gonna say 'ahhhh you coulda chosen It's Late' for A Beacon School and then I scrolled down and saw it at #6. Incredible, incredible song.
Very nice list Abe my dude
The entirety of Cola is a wonderful time :]
Reflection Pulse Remains is easily one of the best closers ever made. It's absolutely MASSIVE.
Also huge props for The Mysterious Vanishing of Electra. Her best vocal performance and it's not even close. So powerful.
