09.25.20 | I've abstained for the majority of the year, went on a minor DM binge but that's about it. This week has me intrigued, think I'll take all 5 please - heard all these artists in some capacity before so the prior investment is there.
I should probably listen to more Deftones than just White Pony first, but where's the fun in that? |

09.25.20 | Sufjan's is more my vibe than Adz, more of a darker synth-pop feel about it. I enjoyed Illinois, but struggled to get into Adz or Carrie, so this is a pleasant surprise. Long album though, needs more time.
IDLES is solid musically, yet I'm having trouble getting around the lyrics. Which I knew would (perhaps) be an issue having heard the last one. I don't necessarily disagree with some of their points, I'm just not a fan of having it shoved down my throat in such a crudely obvious manner. Where's the nuance lads? |

09.25.20 | aaaiiight....on Sufjan I don't like the singles at all...but the album is coming a bit nicer...I really dig Illinois and Carrie...I love Sufjan for his indie statement...not when he is going on late Radiohead...that was really annoying on Adz for me...

09.25.20 | Damn...I listened to Sufjan on lowd speakers while lunching, not very easy... Deftones caught me good now, the sequence between The Spell of Math and Radiant City should really great for any Deftones lover, imo.

09.27.20 | Ohms is gonna be remembered as a classic. Probably my second favorite Tones record rn. New IDLES is still a 4 for now, but the weakest of the 3 LPs for me. I started II (it being my first exposure to The Ocean) for about 15 mins and it wasn't exactly in the mood for what I was hearing right then. I figured it'd be more post metal than prog metal, instead of the other way around. What's the best intro record for them?
All Thoughts Fly was very neat. It was somehow very bright and ominous simultaneously. Reminded me a bit of the Midsommar soundtrack at parts. |

Tks for the input Million, only managed to check Deftones and The Ocean (and this is the best entry on them I d say, its very dynamic) because of the same reasons as you, can t enter the other albums mood, because of how massive these 2 albums are. Deftones is passing all tests (hq,lq,car and parties). |
