2020's Most Underrated Albums
These are all great albums that flew under the radar, to some extent. To make it on the list, it must have fewer than 50 ratings (as of 11/24/20) and be at least a 3.5/5. |
15 | | Blue Oyster Cult The Symbol Remains
It's easy to cast this album aside and doubt its quality, but you're doing yourself a disservice if you do so. Some of Blue Oyster Cult's heaviest and wackiest songs are on this record.

A very good female fronted pop-punk debut that fans of Tonight Alive and Paramore are bound to enjoy.

13 | | Sordid Pink Sordid Pink
Formerly known as Destiny Potato, this group delivered one of the most unique blends of pop and progressive rock/metal that I've ever heard. It's surely not for everybody, but more people need to give this a chance.

11 | | I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME Razzmatazz
The database wiped this album a while back, but it never had a lot of ratings to begin with. Former members of Panic! At the Disco and Falling in Reverse team up to make an unexpectedly good synth pop album.

7 | | Seahaven Halo of Hurt
The newest album on this list, but my goodness is it good. For those of you who are fans of Brand New (especially their later work), this is for you.

6 | | King Mothership The Ritual
This is probably one of those "love it or hate it" kind of albums, but it's a very enjoyable theatrical pop-punk/emo album, for those of you who are into that.

5 | | Scarypoolparty Doom Hologram
Easily one of the most unique genre-bending albums of the year. This isn't his debut, but it was my first exposure, and I'm already a fan.

4 | | Honorary Astronaut EP001
With how much this site loves Dear Hunter, I'm surprised this didn't get more attention. If you like Casey, then you'll like this EP.

Female-fronted synth pop that has a TON of highlights. Hopefully this group only gets more popular with time.

2 | | Tallah Matriphagy
Although this barely qualifies for the list, Tallah put out one of the best nu-metalcore albums in a long time. Just like 3, I hope they only get more popular with time.
