TheSpirit 07.20.21	I think Lars drumming has a certain charm to it. I would argue his inexperience early on led to some genuinely cool beats/fills. Now he really doesn't have an excuse, but I still find Kirk to be a far worse offender.

Up until 2013 I would argue that Maiden had no weak link but based on the most recent single, I have to go with Brucey boi.' Crazy take for sure. But the weakest link is without question Janick Gers. The ongoing joke is that they don't even plug him in during live concerts.

Tundra 07.20.21	This list just demonstrates that the vocalist has the hardest job of any band. Maiden is the perfect example, guitars, bass or drums effectively never age. A human's vocal chords are completely different. It ages over time, it's much harder to hide a damaged voice on a studio recording, and they are usually the thing that most listeners pay attention to the most. Vocalists just have the hardest job, man.

He is just about the luckiest man to ever have lived. The Darkness - Justin Hawkin('s voice). Without it, they wouldn't be considered a joke band, and would not be an acquired taste even for fans. Green Day - Billie Joe('s guitar work. And ego post-Idiot.) Early Sabbath - Ozzy. A limited (if unique) singer who could not and cannot remember a line unless it's made out of coke. Cinderella - That stupid-ass name.

JKing92 07.20.21	Don't agree with 1 at all. I personally love how Kirk brings much in the way of melody to Metallica's music. As for me, I'd add Judas Priest with Rob Halford to this list. I'm not a fan of Priest, but while the musicians behind him are, at worst, anonymous (I can't really find anything to comment on either way when it comes to them musically), I just think Mr. Halford is a flat-out TERRIBLE singer. Something about his tone really gets to me and makes me want to turn off their music as fast as possible. I wouldn't call it adenoidal -- I don't know if that's a particularly accurate description -- but it's like he's using every muscle in his body to sing as loud and high as he can. I actually think he makes average/below average singers like Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears look exceptional, swear to God (probably because whatever technology is used to disguise their weaknesses actually works occasionally).
