park triggers you

with the beatles... With The Beatles? more like with honest thoughts and another genuine ranking
13The Beatles
With the Beatles

One of the strongest points you can make in favour of The Beatles being overrated is that they exploded in popularity very quickly, before their artistic abilities or expression really caught up. So the early stuff is for the most part a mix of inoffensive ditties and recycling 50s rock n roll. This album is probably the most boring of the lot tbh.
12The Beatles
Please Please Me

It was indeed an era where a lot of white bands and artists made a name for themselves by either covering or aping black musicians of the 50s rather than doing anything truly original. Still, the Rolling Stones did it better and more convincingly.
11The Beatles
Let It Be

Its popularity will forever elude me. It's not bad but it's not good either. Nowhere near as creative as the other "classic" era albums.
10The Beatles
Yellow Submarine

Had this been an EP with just the four original songs people would rank it among their big albums because those four songs are absolutely on par. Needless to say the "orchestral" half is pretty bland. Either way if you like the band and you haven't heard Only a Northern Song or Hey Bulldog I would certainly recommend them.
9The Beatles
Beatles for Sale

Probably the only one I could imagine calling underrated? The thing is all Beatles albums get inflated scores just for being Beatles albums, even the early ones. This one, having come out between Hard Day and Help! shows some hints of them growing as songwriters. And honestly I just feel its energy more than the first two, sue me.
8The Beatles
A Hard Day's Night

what the fuck is a motion picture soundtrack
7The Beatles
Help!

T/T, Ticket to Ride, Yesterday

Deep Purple did a nice more psyched out mellowed out cover of the T/T on their underrated debut.
6The Beatles
Magical Mystery Tour

Over here we had a show on TV some 15 ? 20 ? years ago that used All You Need Is Love in all its promotional material and as its credits theme. For all my American homies, imagine the Maury or Springer show but more focused on sad romantic shit than people acting trashy and being shocking on set. Anyway I'll be real I wasn't a fan of this show and it caused me to despise the song for years. I'm ok with it now. Album is good.
5The Beatles
The Beatles

White album more like Whitewashing album etc. Nyeh it's inconsistent but it has its highs obviously. You haven't lived until you've wasted an entire afternoon arguing whether Helter Skelter invented metal music or not.
4The Beatles
Rubber Soul

"Pop perfection" and other headlines that the good users of sputnikmusic.com only use for attractive 20 something white anglo women of our contemporary times. Next time someone tells you park hates fun, tell em I like this album, it's fun. :]
3The Beatles
Abbey Road

Beatallica - Abbey Load

I liked when Coroner covered I Want You. I liked when RYM users were arguing that song invented doom metal. I liked when Cowboy Bebop said you're gonna carry that weight. Wholesome 100 chungus
2The Beatles
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

It's like Piper at the Gates of Dawn but worse. Also check The Mothers of Invention.
1The Beatles
Revolver

I blew George and Johnny's brains out with my six gun.

Isn't it cool when your best songs are the sitar ones? They feel like Venus in Furs but worse.
